COOK FTW!!!!

Okay so Dare You To Move was actually.. as off as David is ever gonna get. I honestly feel like he probably just got a little bit of a strained voice from the trip home. He could hit all the notes, it's just they didn't sound quite as pretty as they usually do

But skjdfskaljfkl First Time Ever I Saw Your Face!! I'm sorry, but I just... I don't personally understand how people could NOT think that performance was amazing. But, then again, I'm sure there are some people who can't understand how I can not like David A.. so.. But yeah, besically, that performance was friggin BRILLIANT imo

And I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing- again, I felt like his voice was a little bit strained, but the ARRANGMENT of that song was sooo friggin gorgeous!! And I don't care what anyone says, he can KILL those ending power notes (in a GOOD way).

David A and Syesha? Complete "meh".

It's LOTS AND LOTS of votes for Cook from here on out!!!

*PRAYS that he wins this thing* If there is ANY justice, he will.

I know a lot of people seem to disagree with me, but I'm standing by it. I think he is probably hands down THE most talented contestant the show has ever had. In the top five vocally, but what puts him over the top is his musicianship.

He has the potential to be one of the best. But we'll have to wait and see what his albums are like.

No one on the show has even touched upon Kelly Clarksonin terms of what they did while on the show.

And I still think Elliot Yamin is the best male vocalist the show has ever had.

Agreed, Priest. I loved Elliott so much.

Bo was my favorite contestant ever. I agree that Elliot had the best male voice, Priest.

I don't think David Cook is unbelievable. I just think one of the best things in the worst season ever.

aww Elliot was so cute!

and Blueroses, Bo is hands down the best PERFORMER the show has ever had :) He can ROCK IT like no other. I love him so much!

However, my top 5 vocalists would be (pretty much in this order, from best on down):
Clay
Carrie
Kelly
Melinda (even though I felt like she was too mature for the competition)
David C

And yeah, see I think the thing that so impresses me about David is.. he truly got to where he is in the competition ON pure talent. Whereas David A has been shoved down our throats as front runner since the AUDITIONS, David C really did NOT start out a frunt runner. The judges never praised him up and down. But he came on and week after week he found ways to make interesting, very memorable arrangments. And he's only had like.. 5 or 6 nights that weren't AMAZING. Not 5 or 6 OFF nights, but just nights where he was just kind of being his usual awesome self. Every other night was like... this new BRILLIANT performance of his that made you (or me at least haha) go "skdfjksalj I need that on my ipod RIGHT NOW). Most people only have like.. 2 or 3 of those nights at best! Lord knows David A has only had 2 that I can personally think of!

So yeah, just in that sense, I think he's one of the most talented contestants the show has ever had. With maybe Kelly pretty close, but.. can Kelly play instruments? :) (again, I'm just talking over all here. Kelly DOES top David strictly vocally, as do the others I mentioned.)

I agree that Elliot is the best male vocalist the show has ever had. He and Chris Daughtry should have been in the final their season. Both of them have done significantly better than the top 2, which shows the most talented definitely doesn't always win.
David C. has grown on me, I didn't initially like him, he actually had to work to get a fan base, where David A. was set-up from the beginning. It has been frustrating that the judges have rarely called David A. out on his mistakes and as Mateo mentioned earlier for doing the same thing they criticized previous season teens for. They have really handled him more delicately than any contestant in history, not sure if it is because they are concerned about what his dad will do, or because they think David A. is their key to the money market that Miley Cyrus and the Jonus Brothers have with preteens and younger.

I really have warmed up to Syesha these days. She'll definitely do well at something or other. She's absolutely gorgeous, too, and I'm jealous re: American Idol this Week

I actually just watched In a Dream and Spinning Wheel back earlier this week! SO. FRIGGIN. FIERCE.

Season 4 was seriously INCREDIBLE. First time ever where I reeeally really adored BOTH the finalists. To the point where I literally couldn't even vote because.. they were both equally talented imo! Carrie had the better voice but Bo was the Better performer :) Basically though I thought it worked out perfectly. Carrie was just more fitting for the title. Bo didn't WANT to win- he didn't want to be tied down like that. Now he has the opportunity to just do what he loves to do! Good ol' fashiones southern rock and roll :P

Jane this is from an article on comcast.net- check out the last sentence

"The producers chose “Hit Me Up” for Syesha, from the movie “Happy Feet.” Randy said it was just OK for him. Paula said she did the song very well, but as much as she liked it she didn’t think it was the type of song that defines Syesha as an artist. Simon said it was better than the second song, but said that it was forgettable. He’s right, and I fear that its forgetfulness was no accident. The producers either know nothing about music, or were trying to sabotage Syesha’s chances by making her sing that ridiculous song."

My friend Gia Farrell actually wrote and recorded the song Hit Me Up. She wasn't even told that Syesha was going to perform it tonight. I agree that the producers obviously threw Syesha a curveball with that choice. It's not the type of song that she should be singing. Go check out Gia's other stuff at www.myspace.com/giafarrell

See? Another example of how they control the show! re: American Idol this Week

Meanwhile, I loved that song and the way Syesha sang it!

All three of his songs were amazing last night.

I have a feeling Syesha is gone...

How come the judges refused to tell David Archuleta that he is mind-numbingly boring as a performer?

Why don't the producers worry about money and leave their crap out of the show itself.

I thought their choices were awful.

Someone sent me a link that had the results.

It's taking all my self control not to look at it, though. And if you knew me well, you'd know I have absolutely no self control.

We're expecting Syesha to leave tonight. Her "Fever" was fierce, but way theatrical. She didn't try to do anything different with the Keys song.

I can't believe Archie chose the Chris Brown song. I bet his dad was pissed!
