I realize it's a LONG shot, but what would happen if Romney were actually found guilty of committing these felonies? Clearly that would be the end of his run for the presidency. What then? Would the Republicans find a substitute? Would that person have any chance in hell of being elected?
Again, I realize it's a LOOOOOOONG shot.

I'm happy with him just admitting "everyone lies on those SEC forms!"
I think this whole thing will be a perfect illustration of how different the lives of the mega-rich are. How can you not be "Running" a company if you are the CEO, Head of the Board and sole shareholder? And why would you be paid a salary three years after you quit?

It will show the people that Mitt Romney is a liar. When called out with evidence, he will still lie about it.When pressed,he will become annoyed and continue to lie about it.
ONLY after constant badgering by the 'liberal media' and providing more and more evidence showing him to be a liar,he will reluctantly admit he lied. He will offer no apologies or remorse. He'll just shrug it off and ask that we move on.

I had a boss who did this. He basically just called in whenever he felt like it. We rarely even knew if he was in town. The day-to-day operations were left to the sucker who thought he was a partner (he never got anything in writing) and next in line to own the company.

If Obama,the media and the American People (mostly Independent voters) press on and DEMAND Romney release his tax returns then I don;t see how he can not and still think he has a chance.If this story stays alive from now til the Convention and this is ALL PEOPLE want to talk about he will either cave in and release them (and then have some explaining to do/damage control) or he won't and people won't let up until the debates where Obama will nail him on it.
Last winter Romney stalled on releasing his tax returns. It took Gingrich,Santorum, and his other opponents to FINALLY get him to release the few that he did.Well, it's gonna take more this time and I think Romney knows by delaying this each day makes it look like he is covering something BIG up.So, I think the story will stay alive as long people hammer him and DEMAND he release them.
What amazes me is the arrogance. This man is running for President and he honestly though his opponent or the press would not bring this up? Did he actually think he was above the law? How stupid and arrogant can one be?
OH, and I have a question to those who defend Romney. I'd like to hear you tell us why Romney does not feel he has to release these records. YOU thought Obama should,and he did. What makes 'your guy' think he is better and does not have to play by the same rules? PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION. Roxy? Goth?Anyone? You people demanded Obama release his birth certificate(which he did)Why aren't you demanding that YOUR Candidate release his tax returns?

He has released one: 2010.
He has agreed to release 2011 when he finally files it. Back in April, he applied for an extension.
He will not release any others.
