I predict they will go into HEAVY damage control. This time a more sincere apology with some meaning(Desperation!)They'll contribute to some LGBT charities, claim they value all their customers and so on.Loss prevention is their number one goal at this point. I think they've hurt their image and that will take a long time to restore,if that's what they want. Like the Salvation Army, I don't think they give a fu*k. They just don't want any negative press or for people to stop buying their product.
This will hurt the name brand BIG TIME! Let's just hope people really get out there and stick it to these homophobic bigots!

I serve this exclusively at my smart dinner parties.
Lots of angry comments on Barilla's Facebook page, I'm happy to report.
I'd love a pro-LBGT statement from De Cecco right about now.

My favorite post on the Barilla US Facebook page where they asked people what their favorite pasta is and one guy wrote "Bigotoni."
Does that make me intolerant for finding that funny?
Trader Joe's pasta is good as another alternative.
How is a single dad supposed to prepare pasta? It's not just gay men who don't have a women in the kitchen to prepare food!
Going by their commercials, it's okay for a man to cook pasta as long as he's doing it to attract a woman.

If I were a shareholder in this company I would be livid. Wonder how the companies stock will do after this comment."
It's a privately held company, so he clearly was not concerned about that. Many CEOs at large corporations like Chick-Fil-A and Barilla spew their venom and the corporations continue to make money. Sadly, we are just not an active enough society to take note and actually come together to do something. They'll lose some sales... But I gather it won't devastate them in the end. It will be a drop in the bucket. Sadly.
Anyway, this is despicable no matter how you slice it. We have several boxes of Barilla in the cabinet right now. I plan on throwing them out and moving to another brand. See ya, Barilla! Kiss my Ass.
Even the bowties? i thought that might be gayfriendly lol
May people piss-ta on their pasta

It's offensive that his name is Guido.

This picture makes a point. Do we really notice a difference in the quality of our pasta? It's all pretty much the same. Barilla just profits from having such longevity in the market; my mother's mother used it, so she did the same, and then I did the same... Farewell, Barilla!

My old pasta of choice was Barilla but three months ago, I switched to Tinkyada brown rice pasta in an attempt to eat healthier. Of all the gluten-free pastas out there, these taste and have a texture surprisingly close to regular pasta

I switched to using Trader Joe's pasta almost exclusively a few years ago. Always 99 cents a pound, you can't beat that, and the quality is just as good as Barilla.

Can't tell a difference with this pasta either. Same ingredients as Dreamfields, but a lot cheaper
I've always been a buck a box store brand guy.
Just told my Dad. He's not going to be buying their brand anymore either.

I'm suggesting that we slash the cellophane on Barilla products on supermarket shelves. The store won't take a hit because they will return the damaged goods to the Barilla distributor. Let's do it!
