Some, but not all the women on his 2016 campaign were sexually harassed. So clearly, he must feel there is still some unfinished business to take care of.

Sorry. Too old. His ship has sailed. If he won the 2020 election, he would be sworn in at the age of 79. I would be concerned that he wouldn't have the stamina or cognitive abilities needed to serve two full 4-year terms. He should endorse the candidate who most closely represents his views and vision, and work to get him or her elected.

I love Kamala but I think the nominee will have to be a white man. We went two steps forward with Obama and then one step back with Trump. So my bets are on Biden or someone like the governor of Montana. I do not think a woman or a person of color could win this time around. I hope I am wrong. If Trump wins another term then perhaps Gavin Newsom could follow.

I agree and suggest that it should be a white man with Rust Belt or Midwest ties and who at least looks like he experienced a playground fight as a kid. Terry Mcauliffe isn't quite right and Bernie isn't any kind of right.

I agree again and suggest that Kamala's candidacy is an attempt to get out ahead of the Gavin in the potus race since both hail from CA. Despite not being a Dem, I worry that Elizabeth Warren and Kamala will steal each other's thunder. While I'm fond of both, I don't see 270 for either against Trump.
I still predict that the GOP will produce the first woman president, likely Nikki Haley.

^ What do you think Nikki's timeframe will be? Will she challenge DT for 2020? If he wins, in 2024 the Republicans are less likely to get three terms, so that would make 2028?

Since I will vote for whomever gets the Democratic nomination (even Bernie Sanders ugh), I'm looking to support the candidate who will get to 270 in the easiest way possible. And that's looking like Sherrod Brown of Ohio. He would most likely flip Ohio and take Pennsylvania with it and that's the ball game. Even if he lost Michigan and Wisconsin and Florida and North Carolina.
I also really really really really like Pete Buttigieg from South Bend, Indiana. 37 years old, veteran, Harvard grad, Rhodes Scholar, progressive, gay, and speaks in an incredibly thoughtful, level-headed, and poised manner. I would love to see him in either spot on the ticket.

Buttigieg seems like the Obama to everyone else's Hillary right now: younger, black sheep, less-well-known, a minority with a less-than-telegenic name that plays into the worst stereotypes about them (you can bet a gay politician whose name begins with BUTT is going to play the same way "Hussein Obama" did for eight years), but charisma, wisdom an substantive policy.
It's a question of whether an underdog can rise to the cream of the crop when not only against a party but a cult of personality.

Tired of all the Bernie bashing.
Him being blamed for Clinton's loss to Trump.
Debra Messing comparing him to Judas.
People falsely saying he didn't work hard to get Clinton elected or that he wrongly stayed in the race too long (forgetting how long Clinton stayed in the 2008 race).
People falsely claiming Sanders supporters abandoned the Democrats (when so many of us, Bernie included, worked tirelessly to try to get Clinton elected... and forgetting all the Clinton primary supporters (Joe Lieberman included) who defected to McCain)
It's all garbage.
But having said all of that - Sanders, Clinton, Biden and all their baggage, whether deserved or not, should stay the &*()^ out of the 2020 race.

I have never contended that Bernie would have certainly won the election if he had been the nominee.
I tell my fellow Sanders supporters who make that smug claim that they are just plain wrong. No one knows what would have happened if Sanders had won the nomination.
But one thing I'm fairly certain of.
If Sanders had been the nominee and lost, a vast majority of Clinton supporters would be smugly making the parallel claim: if we had only been practical and nominated HIllary Clinton she'd now be president, but no, we had to go crazy and nominate Bernie Sanders....
Of course we know that Hillary Clinton was the nominee and she didn't win.
But can anyone persuade me that I'm wrong that if Sanders had been the nominee and lost, 9/10 of us would be beating our chests for having not nominated Clinton, who so... how did you put it: POSITIVELY, ABSOLUTELY, UNDENIABLY AND RELIABLY would have won!???

Bernie, the Russians, Comey, the email hysteria, the Benghazi hysteria, Julian Assange, Facebook, Jill Stein even Clinton herself...
All of which are wrong.
The reason Clinton lost is because of the failures of America is the ignorance and stupidity of Americans. The failure of our country to educate our children and to teach them how to think rather than worship at the altar of base celebrity, arrogance, bluster, greed and perceived wealth and utter disrespectability that Donald Trump embodies.

I don't think Trump will run again if he lasts the term. The Democrats are going to face a pragmatist and they probably better match that strategy. I was a Bernie all the way guy. Like Henri we stood by Clinton. Stop blaming Bernie, he has a message and he has been the Socialist some of us prefer.
