Best Singer on BWW?

Posted: 1/10/06 at 4:57pmYou can be Jake or Terry or something. *I* am Violet to her Daisy, always. (My high belt sounds uncannily like Alice, and D_H doesn't like to sing high anyway, although she has a high C on her that would straighten your hair).

the only perosn from BWW I've heard sing is Anthony Rapp, and , well.. obviously he can sing.

Aw jeez...I try to stay out of these things, but some very sweet things have been said about me. And I'm honored. SO...I'd like to say some quick things about folks here I've personally heard:
JRB's ALL I WANNA DO IS MAKE LOVE TO YOU is a favorite musical moment of 2005 for me. Brilliantly funny and thrillingly sung.
Bwaysinger's voice simply soars to the sky...and I'm still waiting on him to sing for me THE STREETS OF DUBLIN...I think it will be definitive.
Eddie Varley's voice is deceptively beautiful...at first you think it's a character voice...but then you realize just how wonderful it sounds. Especially when singing stuff from PHANTOM.
And last, but certainly not least, I love the way Popculture sings...and by 'sings' I mean 'singing' the gossip he knows!

Well, then I must add to your list:
Bwaysinger doing anything sung by Heart, Whitney, or Melissa E.
I second your assessment of Mr. Varley. He has a great character voice AND a gorgeous legit voice--that blew my socks off.
Akiva's WAV file of "It Takes Two"
Aigoo is a young singer with a hell of a set of pipes--watch out for her!
Kringas singing "Out Tonite"
MJR has a gorgeous voice, but I haven't heard him since Texas--can we fix that??
Of course, Anthony Rapp rocks.
And of all of your fantastic performances, robbie, I am still haunted by your revolutionary "And I Am Telling You".
If I haven't listed ya, I haven't heard ya or I am a forgetful ****.

You know, for my 30th birthday last year I received 2 very sweet birthday presents. As an early treat, Robbiej performed Getting Married Today and tore the roof off at The Duplex. Then on my actual birthday Bwaysinger performed Alannah Myles' only hit, Black Velvet. My my my my.
I was also lucky enough to get an a cappella rendition of Jerby: Fully Loaded and I fully concur with Robbiej.

It wasn't a High C. It was a note that only you and Elphapug can hear...
And, we have had to remove the windows in our bedroom.

Dude! We should seriously have a BWW Idol.
I'm hatching this in my head. Seriously guys, who'd be up for a BWW Idol?

Posted: 1/10/06 at 7:14pmI'm not big for competitions, I wish they would just pick a group that is great and give them all something, if only a nice title. But I suppose it is nice when the award is in your hand and you can say "I Deserve This!" and not have to feign such modesty. I believe that is what MacLaine said when she took the Oscar - "I deserve this!", and she did.

Someone start a thread on it and I'll figure out the rules. I'd start the thread myself but I don't want any outpouring of, "Bad idea!" to fall on my shoulders. But on your guys's, it's okay.
