Overall I wasn't blown away, but I still enjoyed watching it. Hopefully it'll get better as it continues. The bit with The Voice was my favorite, but watching Neil watch the clip was more fun for me than the clip itself.

Someone please pull the plug on this crap fest. I gave it a second shot. Figured it could only get better. It didn't. In fact, it got worse.

That is really quite sad. I do believe there is a market if someone did a GOOD Variety Show.

I liked it, and I had no plan to watch it.

Can't wait 'til next week?
NPH - will watch paint dry!
NPH - will pound sand!
NPH - will pretend to BE a chair on The Voice and Adam Levine will sit on his face!
Really? Lost In Space re-runs are more entertaining. I like NPH but his 15,000 minutes of fame are showing...

I haven't watched it yet. But I did hear an interview in which NPH explained that he wanted to do the old variety show format because he knew lots of people miss those old shows. But at the same time he realizes that people are ADD these days and don't have the attention span to sit through a full performance of a song or something. So he intentionally set the format up to jump around because he thinks that's what people's minds can handle these days.
Being an NPH fan I'm interested to check this out anyway.

I'm still oddly intrigued by this show. NPH certainly throws himself into it, though. Whether you like it or not, it would be hard to say he's not giving it his all...

I like both Lost in Space reruns and I've enjoyed the two episodes of this show.

Finally got around to watching this weeks episode and the news prompter segment was a disaster.

There's a reason I stopped watching game shows when I was 14.
But what other TV star would learn and perform that trampoline routine?

Just caught this week's and NPH did a special surprise for his mom on her birthday, and she was so overwhelmed and excited. Very sweet segment...

I disagree re the segment with the mom. It may work as an isolated segment but watching this show feel more and more like an opportunity for Neil Patrick Harris to celebrate himself, this came across as another self-indulgent, narcissistic move. I mean, he has been a multi-millionaire for a while now so it's hard for me to feel that excited about him giving his mom a very expensive birthday present and recording it on live television. And there's just something so artificial about him and his husband.
Consistently the pranks have been my favorites and the main reason I keep watching. This week's was hilarious, not as good as the Britney Spears one, mostly because Britney kept a straight face throughout the whole bit whereas Jesse Tyler Ferguson kept cracking up. It was still great and I cherish every time Jane Krakowski is on screen.

I forgot this was on after the second or third week.

I accidentally caught a few minutes Tuesday-long enough to see Reba sing a Taylor Swift song while NPH dressed as a cowboy fought people.
It did remind me of the cheesy stuff they used to do on Sonny & Cher and Laugh-In, so I give him credit. However, times have changed and it just wasnt entertaining.
That being said I can still watch cheesy old variety shows and enjoy them.

I just liked her reaction. Why it was on the show? On network television? Who can tell? The whole show hasn't congealed as a consistent thing since the beginning. But his mother seemed very taken by the whole thing, and I just liked seeing her enthusiasm during it.
