Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

BBUK and BBUS are very different, I love the US one for the game playing and strategy but the UK one is what BB was intended to be and what all other versions follow.

So, what was the intention?

I remember the original one here, that flopped in a big way. I was shocked they brought it back, but that was back when new summer programming was just finding its footing.

Th format was to put a bunch of strangers in a house and observe them, heighten the situations with some tasks and have them nominate each week and let the public vote out who they wanted to go. Big Brother is actually a big part as well, we hear him, he controls the house etc.

The US version was the only one to do the whole game playing, tactical, alliances etc and make it more of a competition rather than the whole observing thing. In the UK one they aint even allowed to talk about nominations during the show

That seems to be more like what I remember the first season to be. I rather remember that all the mean/bad/instigating folks were voted off by the public, leaving for a very boring show.

I don't remember ever much hearing BB, however.

Well, it's early..but I'm pretty sure I'm never going to like Jessie and I hope she goes soon. She's by far the most unlikeable and annoying to me.

After Dark sucks on TVGN. It's no longer live and uncensored. Just live. Live on a delay, that is. They bleep (no audio) all of the curse words. As a result, you can barely make out what's being said or discussed. Really stupid. I won't be watching.

Are curse words really a big deal to you?

I never thought it was very interesting on Showtime (or whomever carried it) either. I found they cutaway quite a bit.

I'm watching BIG BROTHER AFTER DARK on TVGN. Spoiler below:

The group/alliance that Andy and Nick are in were discussing how they dislike Aaryn and called her a "trouble-starter" and a "bitch." Looks like there's drama already.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Wait Andy is in an alliance? I thought he was an outsider. I have the live feeds and I could have sworn that I never heard anything about him being an alliance. Do you mean Howard and Nick or McCrae and Nick because Nick is a part of the Moving guys...or Moving Company...or whatever.

I don't watch the live feeds, and the first episode aired days ago so my memory is a little scattered, but Andy was in the HOH room with those people, so I assumed he was in it. They were talking openly about gameplay.

Later on during AFTER DARK, Andy was jumping from group of people to group of people. He even approached Rachel's sister and had a one-on-one conversation with her, which at the end she genuinely said to him something to the affect of "Thank you so much for talking to me. It feels good to have just one person here that was willing to do that." She seemed very defeated.

"Are curse words really a big deal to you?"

No. Censorship is. And when the audio goes in and out every 5 seconds, making what's being discussed virtually incomprehensible, it's annoying and not worth my time. It's also a clear indication that if anything spicy were to happen, they'll surely cutaway to something safe...like a fish tank. Pass.

Well, they have to answer to the FCC.

Kaitlyn looks like a cross between Kristen Stewart and Katie Perry. I'm calling her Kristen Perry for now on.

Several personalities are annoying me. David needs to go because he is annoying. Aaryn needs to focus on something other than wanting Elissa out because she's Rachel's sister. It's like she's taking it personally. Jessie and Jeremy are stuck in HS-mentality.

I have only watched aired shows, but already, Aaryn comes off as a bit cray cray. You can see her getting herself all worked up because Elissa did not say that she was the sister of one of the most hated BB players out there.

You could literally see her winding herself up...

I have heard that on the feeds, Aaryn comes off really rude, racist and a bit nuts. It would not surprise me one bit.

I like McRae so far. And Howard. And, Elissa seems a more sedate version of her sister. But there are plenty of folks there that I would not invite over for a drink.

Do people actually think the David guy is any good looking?

Is that the Lifeguard? NO! I don't find him good looking...most unattractive is his personality. (And his love of his hair!)

Yes, his body is smokin' but his face? Not remotely.

I think Jeremy is attractive, but he has a stinkpot personality.
I also think Andy looks like a red-headed version of John Tartaglia, but that may just be me.

This article makes me mad. CBS should create punishments for behavior like this. We're watching Paula Deen lose everything for similar comments she made 30 years ago while these people are in the running for 500k. Step it up, producers, and be a role model.

I'll agree, it's pretty sickening. However, they are being themselves and not representing anyone but themselves and families. (ie. no sponsorships)

HOWEVER, Deen is NOT losing anything over the use of the n-word. Food Network mostly let her go because of low ratings, she went down 22%. Additionally, this only came out because she is being sued for allowing a racist, sexist & hostile workplace. These charges include:

Minorities using different entrances than whites
Minorities using separate bathrooms than whites
Refusing equal pay for equal work (woman v man)
Women having to endure pornography at the workplace
Different standards for whites/non whites

The list goes on. It's NOT ABOUT THE N WORD. Although it's hard to realize since that's all the media talks about.

(Sorry for the rant, but this pisses me off.)

Here are my thougts so far. I think McCrae is playing a great game and so is Nick. I do think the 5 guy alliance wont last but they all have good ideas about the game. The most annoying people are Jeremy, Jessie, Aaryn, and David. I also LOVE Amanda's diary rooms! Britney's were always great and thankfully Amanda is just as good. Best looking I think is Nick. David is gross. Jeremy has to many tattoos. And Howard is to muscular. Please don't post any spoilers below this but I think Jessie will go home and I hope she does. I don't watch live feeds or after dark unless it's Wednesday or Tuesday because I know everything that's happened up till that point. Just my random thoughts I'd love to hear what you guys think!

Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

There's no spoilers on who goes home since that doesn't get revealed till that episode (which is live).

I think Nick is definitely playing the best right now, with Macrae right behind him. I'm not even sure some of the houseguests are playing the game.

Can we please talk about all the derogatory and racist comments that are being thrown around in the house.

I really hope BB airs the comments that they have been saying so that America sees how despicable these people are behaving and doesn't fall for the "Aren't I good", routine.

Did they even stop to think about the consequences of their actions?

I know the show is live. I just didn't want anyone to say anything about veto. For example I say I think Jessie will be gone then someone below says she won't be gone because she won the veto. I just like to watch the show then if I have time watch the live feed stuff.
Wow. That's ridicoulus. I'm not surprised to hear what Gina Marie and Aaryn are saying but it's like half the house! These houseguests are stupid. It's like it's a beauty contest this year. I mean last years cast was so diverse with Ian, Joe, Will, Jenn, Ashely, and Shane. This year everyone is the same. In a way I get why CBS won't show those comments but I still think they should. Show us who these people really are.

Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

Well that episode was out of control. The shameless plug for the American Baking Competition was a low point in veto competitions. The worst part was the guest host was totally NOT into the competition- nose stuck in the card, no charisma- what a clunker!

Then there's dear, sweet David. I actually have a soft spot for the guy. He is dumb as a pile of rocks, but he seems like a genuinely nice guy. Some of the other men in the house are bringing douchebaggery to new heights, but he appears to not be involved in that.

I really don't want Elissa to go home. Why isn't she admitting that she's Rachel's sister when everyone has realized it? Why did she admit to anyone that she MVP? I bet the producers want to keep her around for a few more weeks at least. It seems pretty set that she's going home though.

Personally I'd love to see Jessie get the boot, but of the three she seems the most secure to stay.

Nick seems to be playing the game more than anyone else at this point.

I miss last season's houseguests. As lame as the veto competition was wouldn't it have been so much more fun with Shane, Danielle, Dan, Ian and Ashley? (Can you imagine what word Ashley would have spelled?!?!)
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

McCrae should never play poker. He can't keep a secret for a millisecond.

I'm not liking these folks...the mysogyny, racism and self centeredness is pretty awful.

David gets put up and Aaryn (How pretentious is THAT spelling) gets pissed at him because he's upset? Just ew.

And what was David trying to do during the veto competition??
