Reginald, no witches were pressed, because Giles Corey was never convicted of being a witch, so he doesn't count.
I actually obsessed with the Salem witch trials as a child because of Hocus Pocus. I was 8. My religious parents weren't thrilled.
That Biblical marriage graphic at Jezebel is awesome.

That sounds like something a witch would say.
Anyway, I found this portion of the article rather disturbing:
"New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, a group that describes itself as “dedicated to influencing legislation and legislators for the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Merely the property taxes on the Catholic church land holdings in this country would help the deficit tremendously! They seem to be such a political influence that why the F not? The church wants a say? Then pay taxes!

And they can go right ahead and do that, as long as we can take away their nonprofit status as a religious organization. They can't be "separated" from state if they act as a political entity and try to "influence legislation" in the government.
Start payin' taxes for the Lord. Then you can do what you want. Otherwise, get the hell out of government. And stay out.

Or drowning! Didn't they know about witches and water?
Witches float. Like bread, very small rocks and ducks.

Eh, she wants to play the Christian Martyr for her beliefs. Let her preach to the choir!
Aww PJ too bad she didn't!

Besty's last post is pretty much how I feel.
Of course in the end she's the one without a job. But I guess Jeeby will provide for her.
Amen.

That's why I sort of agree with Ruth here. She has her morals and she stood by them. Sure, she may be completely misguided about same-sex marriage, but at least she's willing to stand up for what she believes in. But the real Christian thing to do would be to move on and allow your fellow humans to share their love and happiness. Don't try to get your job back, don't go around talking about how everyone made it awful for you, just go to church and pray and leave the rest of us alone. These are not moral or political or spiritual issues. This is an HR problem, and it was right that all of these women stepped down.
I think my personal favorite is video #2, where the lady on the sunset side of middle age says that she thinks this is the first time in her life that she had to "actually receive persecution."
