It's called 12 Garden Nights - I guess taken from his concerts at MSG -- but I can't find a track list anywhere!!! Anyone with any inside info?
I went to one of his concerts at MSG - and he said they were recording it.
Actually, thinking about this - it's pissing me off. He already has THREE live cds (Songs in the Attic, The Russia Concert, and the Millenium Concert) -- he hasn't put out any new music since the last one - why the hell is he putting out ANOTHER live CD rather than, I don't know, writing more music???

Is he even writing new pop music? I thought he had "given that up" in order to concentrate on classical.

He knows his best days are long behind him, his "pop song" well is dry as a bone and he has neither the ability nor the inclination to write anything new. So, like every other boomer nostalgia act, he's re-selling the same old schtick because there have to be some suckers somewhere who are longing for another rendition of "We Didn't Start the Fire."

Well, if it's what people like - who cares?
I just want more tour dates. People who don't live in NY, DC and CA want to see Billy, too!
Bill Joel is going to Hell, simply for the criminal act of writing 'Uptown Girl.'
To quote the showbill from one of his MSG concerts:
"Writing music is like giving birth. How many can you plan to write before your uterus explodes?"
