Yup! In 7th Grade TX History(The most pointless class ever), my teacher told our class about Ima Hogg. No clue about Ura...

Oh god. These are hyserical.
My theatre teacher's name is Doug Graves.
A sub once told us he taught a girl named Merry Christmas Carol. That was her full name. We weren't sure whether or not to believe him.
My mom knew of someone named Spencer Shmencer.

I can't believe some people would do this to their own children! They're funny to read - but would you want to carry them throughout your life?
I owe my niece an apology. She named my grand-nephew "Oliver". I thought it was unusual until I read this thread. Now it sounds just dandy.
I do have a favorite, slightly unusual name. I used to have a wonderful elderly couple who lived next door to me. Her name was June, and when she and Merrill were married she became "June Knight". I still think that's the most charming name I've ever heard.

Oh, and I've also gone to school with twins named Linx and Lamb.
However, I'm not inclined to feel too sorry for them, considering their... er... values. (And I don't mean that in the "SLUTS!" way.)

VonTussleGirl, that's hilarious, you actually know them? Were you the one that posted the link to their message board here a few months ago? That's where I first heard about them.

Yes... unfortunately. And I actually wasn't the one who posted the link.
Eh, they don't go to my school anymore, but when they did, they were pretty much worshipped. (One of them was voted princess of the Valentine's Day dance. Huh?)
Anyway, they've moved now that their mother has realized that GASP, there are too many non-whites in my city.

No kidding, eh? That's really screwed up. Did they always wear the traditional German get-up? How did they openly treat the non-whites at school?

Well, for the first few weeks, they didn't exactly wear "traditional" German clothing, but their ways of dressing were rather odd. Probably what they had worn while being homeschooled. After that, they just dressed like every other girl at the school, "skate clothes" and such.
And as for the way they treated the non-whites at school, well, I'll reference one "incident" in which they both beat up a black girl and busted a vein in her head, for no apparent reason other than, well, she's black.

Senator Hogg did indeed have a daughter named Ima. But the other daughter, Ura, was fabricated.

Let's see...
My mom was a labor and delivery nurse so she filled out birth certificates for patients. A lady whose last name was Titz (yes,it's pronounced how you think it is) decdied to name her baby girl...*drumroll*....Lucious! Her daughters name was "Lucious Titz"! How's that for a stripper name?
Oh, and someone else whose last name was "Chadelier" named their daughter Crystal! "Crystal Chandelier"! *points and laughs*

This girl I went to camp with was named Wilderness...and her sister was Rainbow. Dead freakin' serious.
My soon-to-be born niece is going to be named Autumn...with the middle name Princess. Autumn Princess...she'll stick out in my family, which is FULL of un-original names (ie Thomas, Robert, Edward, Michael, Christine, Jennifer, and Isabelle).

Lemonjello and Orangejello are not urban myths. A family friend's brother, a police officer in Nebraska, recently told me about 2 twins he has had numerous encounters with named Lemonjello and Orangejello.

I love name stories.... I have a friend who used to work as a nurse in an inner city, and one day a woman comes in to deliver a baby, obviously not right in the head. She has the baby and names it Satan. I kid you not. Later she heard Child Services took the kid away for unknown reasons.
I also knew a girl whos name was Jenna Slutsky
