I once knew someone called Maxwell, now this isn't too bad until you add the surname of Maxwell. His name was Maxwell Maxwell.

Oh yea, and there was a teacher at my school named November. She told us once that her parents were going to name her Thanksgiving, but decided on November instead.

There was a parent who used to bring his kid to the camp I worked at. He legally changed his last name to "the summer of 69". So his name was Bob The Summer Of 69. He was a very odd man. You would expect him to name his kids interesting names but his sons were named Francis and Eugene or something like that.

I know a girl named Cherish Varley (who may or may not be related to Eddie).
I also know a girl named Jnanna. Apparently her father was studying Eastern philosophy when she was born, and jnanna means "wisdom" in another language.

I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

A guy that went to my high school was named Arpit. He was Indian.
I once heard about some girl named SH*Thead. It was pronounced "Shi-Theed". I pronounce it child abuse.
My mother's name before she was married was Holly Day. My dad's last name is impossible to pronounce but she thought it was definitely an improvement.

candy hamm. cruel.
Arshpreet is hardly bizarre--merely foreign. my name is also indian/hindi/sanskrit and while it is actually quite simple, people i work with manage to butcher it anyway--because the are lazy and do not listen. musicians and creative people always get it right.
my favorite is a child in my neighbor's class named "nextel" as in the phone.
in india, swasti --is fairly common for girls, but as it is short for "swastika" (swas-teee`-ka) it doesn't work in the west as that word has been forever co-opted & corrupted.
another name in india that is sometimes heard for girls is "dimple" which i LOVE.

Over the years, my dad has taught a Xerox, Ronald McDonald, and Brooke Lynne (if that wasn't bad enough- her last name was Bridge). As Mister Matt said: all kinds of characters in the public school system.
