we missed the first act of THE FOREIGNER with matthew broderick because i took us to the THE LION KING instead. our tickets to LION KING were for the FOLLOWING night, and i got the dates mixed up in my head. i was so mad at myself.
i cried through the last 10 minutes of TITANIC and continued to cry for about 15 minutes after the curtain fell.

8- 11 I used to LOVE Annie. It was before the internet, because of course now, I would totally be finding all sorts of useless info on it. I am still sentimenttal about it, though.:)
That's exactly how I feel about the show. I know the whole musical sucks, but the song "NYC" still makes me feel all happy.
And Em... wow. That's impressive!

I love the story and the music of RENT.
Never seen it on stage, and have no plans to.

The only part of Sweeney Todd I've heard is from Jersey Girl.
I really don't know much about "classic" musicals.

Posted: 3/19/06 at 6:19pmWhen I saw ME AND MY GIRL I on Broadway I was invited back stage by Jim Brennan who was the lead. He was a good friend of my then husband. Ehile navigating through a maze of wardrobe and props I spied a hanger with Jimmy's name on it and his character: Bill Snibbs. I stole the hanger.

my first bway show was "Chicago" and I really only went to see it because Paige Davis was playing Roxie.
But, um, she was amazing. And it remains one of my favorite shows.
EVITA is opening locally soon and I am so freaking excited.

I love Mamma Mia.
When I was in NY around the time Spelling Bee was off-Broadway, my mom suggested seeing it, and I blew it off on the premise that I figured it would be "boring."

I LOVED "Fame- The Musical" and saw it twice when it was on tour.
I still listen to the cast recording sometimes.

I start mouthing Destiny's Child "Say My Name" everytime they start announcing the winners for lotteries.
42nd street is my ultimate guilty pleasure.

I'll tell you one thing I am NOT afraid to admit!
I HATE WICKED!!! The music is terrible and I just hate everything about it. I went to see it and the actors got on my nerves so much that I was thinking aobut walking out but the final nail in the coffin was the fact that in front of me were two teenage girls SINGING ALONG with the show! I told them to be quiet many times but they wouldnt listen so I got up and left at intermission. How terrible.

Umm... that's the only reason I saw Chicago. And besides her I really didn't like the show.
