What I remember about namo is that he was forever highjacking threads by instigating petty, personal, lengthy arguments.  And if he disagreed with your opinion, you were an idiot or worse.  I never found his "I don't play nice with others" shtick especially funny, just tiresome.

Then you must love harassment, threats, verbal abuse, horrible language, accusations and stalking.   I was delighted when Patti Murin chased the worst people on this site away.  Well, not all of them.  A few awful ones are left but they know how to actually behave now, or they will get suspended.  This is a wonderful site now.

 

That's not fair Margo.  I stated they had their faults.  When I first joined Broadwayworld I had a minor disagreement with both of them.  We settled our differences and moved on.  I personally was never on the receiving end of harassment and verbal threats.  I know both had their issues with some.  But to say that EVERY post was a threat, stalk, abuse or harassment is just not true.  And other posters, who I found funny, are not posting for their individual reasons.  I stand by my original statement.  It's just not as fun as it used to be.  It's almost as "uninspiring" as Playbill.com.

Writing as one of their primary targets, I never felt harassed, threatened, stalked, etc...  If some lame Broadway star has the capability to do this to our posters then that makes BWW lame.

I was delighted when Patti Murin chased the worst people on this site away.  Well, not all of them.  A few awful ones are left but they know how to actually behave now, or they will get suspended.  This is a wonderful site now.

 

I still maintain that Patti Murin owes the board an apology.

Don't forget Patti Murin did contribute that awe inspiring thread on our reality watching habits and what shows we should see because of it.  It was one of the most thought provoking threads to ever grace the pages of BW.

People got all up "in their feelings" and now don't want to come back. Some didn't want to come back because they expected others to kiss their @ss...and when that didn't happen they took their jacks and left the playground. 

It's really all about ego.

I rarely post anymore.  I used to be on daily. It was so fun. The people on here were so clever and funny I would literally LOL. I miss a lot of the threads that were just plain silly. They would just spin out of control! And I miss our Girl thread with Stockard and Danmag and the rest .

Yeah..BWW is just not even close to the fun it used to be. I don't have any theory why, though. It just isn't.

It may not be as "funny" on here anymore but it sure is a lot nicer and cordial with PRS and Namo departing, even though I genuinely miss PRS (but not Namo).  xo
