The only time I had it was when I was in a lemon grove in Sorrento, Italy. They make it right there on the property and give everyone who comes to visit a free drink. You wouldn't believe how fascinated some people can be with lemon groves - they spend HOURS in there.

They say the best time to make anything with lemons is when they're still green...supposedly that is when you get the best lemon flavor...of course all the lemons in the supermarkets are yellow

Perhaps we need a trip to a lemon grove in Italy...poddie and me can go check out what is really going on in the groves

Well, I was there in June when the lemions were bright yellow and HUGE - the size of grapefruit. That was one potent brew!

I respectfully suggest we do an Adult Road Trip - stop off in Florida for a wild weekend, and then take Shamey with us to Italy for a week. Or two.
