Happy anniversary you two crazy kids! This calls for cake! Then again, what doesn't?
Happy Girly Boobs Day!!!!
I'm only working a half day today -- heading to MD for the parents birthday's.
I baked a cake last night Moony.
Yay and hooray for Girly Boobs Day!
Ooh, is that chocolate cake?!

HEP! How delightful to see you here at this time of day/night!
SOMMS - what time should I be there. I have my own fork, thanks. Well, shovel, really.
Ooh! Cake!
Happy Joinaversary!
Somms, I feel the same way as you do (from a few posts back) about wanting to retire to a climate like that year-round. Have you figured out where that is?
San Diego, but I can't afford it.
Bummer. California is usually listed as one of the worst states to retire in.
We'll have to keep searching.

San Diego was going to be my suggestion, too. Can't afford it? The weather's nice enough that you could live in a poolside cabana. You'd be a pool boy!
The Navy Seal nephew and gorgeous wife live there. Maybe they have a shed in the backyard.
We can do a group home. Shared expenses!

Hep - Have not been to Wrigley this season - best start in decades!
Group home - for rehab?
Happy Friday! Boys night tomorrow - 6 of my best friends in life in nice country house!
For retirement.
But we might need rehab, too.
Sounds like a perfect night, brd! I love gatherings like that!
I have a spare room, if you don't mind the drive.
That is the one thing - if you live here and own a place, you can stay, but moving here late in life... that is hard. I have friends that left for job opportunities and now cannot get back into the market.
Happy anniversary to GirlyBoobs!
Still working from home today with a very stubborn cold. Small blessings in that I was supposed to be in Cedar Rapids this week and the trip was cancelled.
Happy Friday Adults!

Should be fun. I skipped last year and really need the boost. These guys mock me until I cry with laughter!

If we'd known that was all it took to make you happy, Brd, we would have mocked you all the time!

LOL
Mooney - C17 is so pissed - I registered him late for ACT and he is taking it in the city rather than his school! I think less distractions could help him! He will have a much nicer weekend without the AP exams looming!

Meh. He can suck it up. My daughter took her first SAT exam at a different school. I think it helped.

Agreed! When is graduation? Our third "daughter" graduates next weekend. She has been a part of our lives for 16 of her 18 years!
Talk about a throwback. I remember taking the Pre-SAT at my school auditorium, and it was so freaking cold in there. One of the teachers said it was Saturday morning and they wanted to make sure folks were awake, so they cranked the A/C up.

Brd - May 27 at 2:00pm. Next year we're moving it back to early June. We've been starting and ending the school year too early in recent years.

A/C - for certain our high school did not have A/C!
I cannot recall where I took the ACT. No prep at all, took it once, highest score in my class and look at me now - bored and underpaid!

I never took the ACT. Really wasn't a big thing in Maryland back then. I only took the SAT once and now kids take it multiple times. I did take three different SAT II tests.

I did not do well on SAT compared to ACT. C17 is a terrible standard test taker for his intellect.
We do have a few weeks between finals and ACT to get him tutor for reading comprehension which is just silly! He has standardized test reading deficits only. (I am not criticizing standard tests - how else do we process millions of colllege applications?)
Where the heck is the time going?! I can't believe Memorial Day is almost here! And I am really intensely disliking this summer-like weather already. I don't want to have to put my A/C on yet. I've been trying to get by with just fans going, but last night was a challenge. If there was a breeze, at least, that would be helpful. My cousin lives a couple miles away, and pretty much has a breeze all the time. Drives me crazy when I leave her house and go home.

For me, the humidity has been the reason to occasionally flip on the AC this month. The house feels damp and warm if I don't run it for a few hours. But, yeah, too hot too soon.
Last two days of classes here, then finals Wednesday through Friday. This is ending way too early, especially since we lost all those instruction days in the winter, due to snow and ice. Next year we're starting later and ending later.
