Happy Tuesday Adults.

Happy Tuesday. Tired and sore - worked in yard for three days! Fun hard work.

That's how SOMMS spent his weekend, too, Brd. His yard looks gorgeous now!

Moony, while in the elevator today I read about a senior prank involving thousands of ladybugs, and I thought of your school...

Did not hear about any pranks at C17' school. Seniors have graduated and finals are this week. The long junior year is almost over! ![]()
Mooney - we put in a raised bed for tomatoes, etc. Have not tried vegetables in a decade. Usually we lose the squirrel battle! I did put up a 2 foot fence to keep bunnies and other night time creatures out!
Just realized - one year without knowingly consuming animal products. 19 months no red meat or dairy! 167.5 pounds!

Ha! Thanks for the reminder. With Monday off, I can't keep the days straight!

I still feel tired from the weekend! Hips, legs and arms sore from yardwork. (old)

That's why I now have a "lawn man". He's a former student of Hubby's who just started his own yard and garden company. So, we;'re REALLY just hiring him to help him out.
Yup, that's totally why we're doing it. Totally.

C17 actually helped me on Saturday. We built a raised bed from 4x4 which were the old swing set. I did not list my thumb injury from scrubbing the deck boards. My goal was to improve the yard with no $$. Total for the weekend - $600.00! Ha!

I have about 12 lettuce plants - never tried and not sure how to harvest. How long will lettuce produce?

Will do. I had a great gardening book, but cannot find it!

The long national nightmare of junior year has ended.
Gorgeous Chicago day! Playing hooky this afternoon.

Did you add marigolds to the vegetable garden?
I'm heading to PA this weekend, with the plan to take a nice long bike ride along the river into Philly. Fingers crossed the weather holds.
Hooray for all the students about to begin summer vacation.

I thought we'd have peace once the students left the campus. Turns out they weren't the problem. These whiny, entitled adults need to GO HOME FOR THE SUMMER!

Funny Mooney! C17 is free and going to the Cubs today!
Addy - I will add flowers! Thanks for the idea!

Specifically marigolds - they're a natural pest control system.

Back to work. So not happy today. Thankful I have a job, but...

Back the grind - hopefully a less eventful week than last week.
Happy June Gloom Adults.

Saw some marigolds at the local store this morning and will put some in!
The Lyric's Carousel had a fantastic "June is Busting Out All Over"

Moon, June, spoon......
Winding down the school year here. Fantastic presentation on electronic security - the latest on phishing, scams and data theft. We have a luncheon today to say good bye to those who are leaving, including my wonderful boss. Many mixed feelings today.
