Well, SOME of us have been here. Hrmph.
Tax Day is upon us! There are usually a few stores that offer freebies on this day to ease the pain (it doesn't work) but I haven't seen any in our area. Anyone getting free coffee, donuts, cookies, etc?

I haven't heard of anything. Just did a quick search, didn't find anything too spectacular.
Ben & Jerry's had free cone day yesterday. The nearest one to me is in Manhattan. Easier to buy a pint for $4.99.

So then, tomorrow is the anniversary of Boobs and I seeing The Book of Mormon in previews from opposite sides of the theater. He couldn't contain himself that morning about how great his first date was with HC and how wonderful HC was and ... ,well, you know Boobs.

It is tax day and I will be able to pay the taxes which equal the price of a small car!
Filing my parents' taxes for the last time today! A yearly ritual for the last 15 years. My dad would literally get excited to go through all of the papers. As he lost his sight my mother took over.

The paperwork I have to fill out just to show that I have earned no taxable income is stupid. FATCA went into effect as of April here, so we have more paperwork to fill out for the bank and the bank has a TON of paperwork to fill out for each American they have accounts with. Of course, they all have to be done in English. Several banks are refusing to work with American citizens, even if they have dual citizenship. We also have to show all of The Swede's income because if there could be something that's taxed differently in the US, they could take out taxes since we share accounts. She's never lived in the US and our marriage isn't even recognized in my home state...
I HATE TAX CRAP.
