Hey, all!
Oh, to be in jammies now that Friday is here. Now, I will let out a long and loud sigh. So, please protect your delicate ears. We put the book to bed on Tuesday. 'Finally!,' I hear you say. Oh, no, that was me saying it. Hopefully, we get the final galleys back this coming week and a mock-up version of all the inserts, cover, etc. At last, I can get back to researching things ... and sitting in jammies while chatting to my dear Adults!

Busy weekend - finally finishing my legal chapter - TORTURE!
Double duty singing on Sunday.
Horrible father in law arriving Sunday to try to mend his relationship with his daughter and grandchildren. I will be patient but I will not allow him to tell falsities in our home.

I did record AWC, but it was pre-empted here in DC for a football game. Only here. So I have an hour of the Deadskins running around the field. I did catch up on Xfinity on Demand last night, though.
So hard to come back to the office today. The long weekend in Maine was nothing short of magical. Not so much here. Sigh.

My smileys are also gone! Girly - my neighbor works for Kraft - he was asked to lay off 27 of his colleagues on Friday. One of our good friends was spared the Heinz assault on Chicago area Kraft workers. First, they put high fructose corn syrup and now they destroy careers!
Interesting night with the father in law. Apparently all on his side of the family hates all of our family because a friend told the bride that I said something on the limo bus after a wedding last fall! Petty people.

In the office today trying to clean up stuff. And I'm all verklempt. Someone I've known a long time wants to go to dinner next week or sometime. That got me all weepy. I don't want to go, though. I wish I could just skulk out of here the final day.

I am in the same boat. No probate, but possible some transfers without administration.

You want to avoid probate if you can. There are small estate affidavits if the money actually in the estate is small. We had most in a trust prior to the deaths.

Same here - car was already signed over to me before she died, and there should not be property in excess of the small estate limits in California. All of the large assets, including the house, are in the Trust.

Start of school meetings continue today - mine are with students, luckily. They are easier to work with than some of the "adults" around here. I hate it when the teachers whine, "I can't believe we have to go back to work already. The summer was too short! i want to be back at the beach."

Decided I must replace legal assistant. Her speed and pace are not sufficient. She might be one of the pokiest employees ever. She has skills but is too distracted. Really annoying. She will be devastated as she has not been able to keep a regular full-time job for the past years. I KNOW WHY!
