The wisdom of La Moony is everywhere.

I approve of the above post.
I had a spectacular slice of pavlova yesterday. I have not been kidnapped since. I guess the theory works!

Tis Monday! Vacation next week so need to get all ducks in row. Will sneak out on Thursday to see Pippin tour.
Garden update - one tomato- lettuce and kale gone - very successful. Sunflowers out, three nice eggplant ready for harvenst - as are yellow beans and a few snap peas. Only four cucs with hundreds of blossoms.
About ten tomatoes -- all green at this point, three green peppers, many jalepeno's, but no brocoli.

Day One back from Vacation: so far, so good.
During my week-long absence, they named a new boss for my department. He's 32 and a newbie at administration. they are counting on me to "show him how it's done", which translates into, "Hold his hand and walk him through every day of the next 10 months".
Sigh. I want to head back to Maine.
Welcome back! Take him shopping; for a long, long lunch with cocktails and tell him that's how it's always been done.

32? I have house plants that old! (Not really but three are 25)

HA! Yes, and hasn't even finished his Master's degree yet. Can someone tell me how this happens? I do have to say that I adore this guy and he'll be fun to work with. I just wish he had more experience and training. I hate teaching my bosses how to do their job.
I did slip into the office yesterday afternoon to pick up mail and put a nice floral arrangement on my desk (it always helps me to ease back into the work scene). Someone passed by a few minutes ago and said "Oh, what pretty flowers - did XX give them to you?" At which point XX (new boss) panicked and said, "No. Oh gosh - is this something I should be doing for you?" Yes, I could really have some fun with this!

Hmm, you are ten years younger than me!

Hump day and at the office at 6:23 am. Me tired and crabby!

Does that mean you can go home early?

Maybe 4:30 today!
I am home...
Last night, following a full workday, I helped to host a group of Patrons and Life Members of our widdle museum. It was an annual thank you and show-and-tell evening. At least it did end with pizza! While fun, the day seemed to stretch. I get today off. So, here I am, safely in jammies, enjoying your company ... I hope!

Hep! You were available for a party and I missed it! What a full day - and night - you had! I hope there was some wine and/or beer to wash down the pizza!

Plenty of beer at Wrigley as the 21 year old love birds were at the game. Tipsy C21 = annoying.
Pippin is two blocks away and I cannot get away for matinee and I am out of town through most of the run!
How is the new boss? My new assistant has her quirks! Mouse secretary much more efficient.
Back in the office and they've already made me want to return to hot, humid, rainy Central Florida. Ugh.
