Hmm. Well, Boobala didn't mention the earthquake in Indonesia, so there must be no danger.

Beacon was in New York this weekend?
That's the reason the sun came out on Saturday!
(next time you'd better let me know you're here, missy! )
Greetings to all the Adults.
Hope you had a good Monday.
Oh, and, count me as one who doesn't like flavored coffees...
Yuck.

Well, as long as she had time with her Patrick!

I had dropped a note to Patrick at the theater letting him know we were coming in again to see him--but a smaller group than the one at "Barefoot in the Park". Smaller but super excited. I wasn't sure he'd get it but it was worth a shot. And BOY was it worth it.
Saturday night during the BC/EFA drive speech, John Lithgow announced that that night for $20 you could go backstage and get a photo with a cast member--and that night it was "our matinee idol, Patrick Wilson". That sounded perfect instead of trying to snag him at the barricades. So we got together and decided to be the last in the line... We expected it would be a crowd...it was maybe 20 other people who decided to do it. And they rotated out really quickly. So, our group went backstage and the first one goes up to stand with Patrick (who is really grinning) and she points to me and says "I'm hear with beacon1". Patrick grins and nods and says "yes! You were outside earlier!"
He knows me by sight now??? Must be the photos he hands out on a regular basis to the security guards...
Anyhow, I went up for a photo next and he apologized for not having spoken to me outside the theater earlier that day. He said he saw me but was signing. I was stunned and I told him that it was absolutely no problem. I knew he was busy and I hadn't wanted to interrupt.
In actuality, I was scoping out the barricade situation after I went to Spamalot (Hi-LAR-ious!) before I went to change for dinner. I didn't think there was anyway I'd spark ANY recognition. Just a person on the sidewalk among others on the sidewalk. After all, this is only the second time I'd been in NYC.
But, I digress. We ended up standing around, getting photos, autographs and peppering him with questions. He was beyond kind, sweet, and gracious. Seriously. Just a really great guy.
He thanked us for all of our support and we told we'd see him on the next day (some of us had Sun matinee tickets). So he said "See you tomorrow!!!
And, on Sunday after the show, we saw him outside and again he couldn't have been more sweet to us again. He answered more questions, gave us a very unexpected treat, and then hugs good-bye. He really does appreciate his fans.
This...and sitting next to Bill Paxton for the matinee. BLISS!

He gave you an unexpected treat in addition to the hugs? Or were the hugs the unexpected treat? Inquiring minds...

Oh we are getting some light snow
Exciting news. The show that just closed is going to be published, and Sam French wants to use my poster design for the cover. Yippee!
That's spectacular, D2!

T'anks!
Just got back from an evening at Shakey's pizza. Disgusting food, but my second cousins (who are like nephews since I have none) had a blast spending about $10 in tokens to win a $1 squirt gun.
So, it was all worthwhile.
I think I am going to buy them a Wii for Hannukah... it is nice to have kids to buy things for!
I'm going to remind you of this statement on a regular basis, YWIW.
"kids" - unless your somehow related to a goat, methinks you are not quite a kid anymore!
"Had Gadya" anyone?
Oh wait, will anyone in here even KNOW the song?

And seriously, this looks like MANY Passover Seders I have attended.
OMG - I am having bad Seder's flashbacks.
My mother loves all of the songs, and is a retired teacher.
It is insufferable.
Had Gad Yaiahhh...
LOL, YWIW. I've DEFINITELY been there. We have song booklets.
So, I got the Wii on Amazon, now I am just trying to determine if I have to get them the second controller and nunchuk as well. That is another $60 bucks...
You have a Wii, lol. You would know better than I!
I know. I probably will, because you need the second set of controllers for two people to play...
Night Shira, have a good tomorrow.
You're an awesome cousin.
Night, YWIW.
