Yes Shi-shi...whenever I miss home I just come to this thread.
Me too!
Me three!
Me four!
He loves to count.
Whoo Hoo.
I just got my bonus info. Pleasantly surprised.
Well done, YWIW!
In this market, I am just happy to get anything.
Any plans for that bonus, or is it part of a nice, growing nest egg?
Awesome! Congratulations.
Getting ready to go out and enjoy what's left of this glorious day.
Have fun, DD.
It is bucketing down, here.
Nice job, YWIW! I sense some spoiled kitties.
Hep, setting some aside to do some work on my place. The kitties would be spoiled regardless. After taxes and some other stuff, I only see about 50% of it though...
I've been on cuteoverload.com overload.

"It is bucketing down, here."
Hep - considering what your recent history has been down there, I'd say that's probably a good thing.
Unless, of course, like SoCal, you are prone to mudslides.
I am going to kill that damn cat...
carry on.

No, you're not.
But I am curious to hear the story . . .
He will not stay off the credenza. I had some crystal/gifts that were hanging on the wall above the credenza. Between just about knocking everything off the credenza, and using the crystals as play things, I have had to take them down and move just about everything off of the credenza. It is a recent fascination, but he has been particularly curious these past couple of weeks.

Just out of curiosity, have you used the squirt-gun technique to indicate what you don't want to have happen? All the people I know who have cats have done that, and it works.
I don't want get water on that furniture. There is stuff there I don't want to get wet, but yeah, I have thought about it. But, perhaps if I do that, he will just react. The bad thing about not having a declawed cat is that he starts scratching stuff if you freak him out.
I may resort to the water. This is a relatively recent phenomenon.

Just remember how beautiful he is
He is quite purty. I will just have to resign myself to not buy nice furniture...

I had never lived with pets until I decided to marry the Tinman, and ended up with two furry step-children. Honestly, it is one of the greatest adjustments I've ever had to make in my life - and one I'm still not completely comfortable with.
I know this might be shocking, but I can be a little anal about things - and the lovely beasties don't always live in a way that fits within my stringent guidelines.
I actually do like having their presense, for the most part, but the intrusion into the way I like to live my life has been VERY difficult to process.
We've already lost one, and the other one is showing serious signs of age, so I'm not sure where we'll go from here. The TinMan has been hinting for years that he would like to have a dog around after Christy leaves us - but I, as the primary caretaker (and custodian,) am not so sure. We'll see.
I have never had one that is quite the handful that Zander is. I think the cat has ADD or something - but, then again, Zorra is the only kitten I ever had, so maybe most cats this age are this goofy, and she was the exception.
He really is a sweet cat, just so into everything, and so damn curious. He is adorable, just sometimes a challenge to my patience. But, things would definitely be lonely without my twso furry beasts.
Zorra seems almost angelic (though skittish) by comparison. She often does take cover so he can't get to her, because he is always pouncing/jumping/attacking something.
But, as for you and the TinMan - I think it is always good to have a pet, just for unconditional love (and occasional frustration) they provide. Dogs are more work than cats, but if you have the yard and the time to walk them, I am with the TinMan.
