"relatively well-behaved"
To be honest, YWIW - when are you not?! You're such a well mannered and kind woman all the time!
You have not seen me around my family.
Buttons are pushed, grudges revisited, and immaturity reigns...
I have nothing in common with my two sisters, and the younger one has made efforts to bridge some of the gulf between us, and I have not been very receptive.
You only see me on my good days, trust me.
Passive Aggressive, eh?
No, not even that - someday over some wine I will explain my family's dynamics.
Gotcha.
Girly asked about my parents the other day when we had dinner. Boy, did she get an earful!
Yeah ... when girly asked there was a sudden hush ...
But I did keep it to under 5 mins, as requested!
If memory serves, a buzzer went off at the 5-minute mark.
The problem is, when I hear that I get to "sound off", I rattle on, when really, all they mean is "mute".

We all have family dynamics. We have no drama here because NONE of our family lives in Chicago.
I spent a lot of time with C15 this weekend, she really is growing into an nice young woman.
Ah brd, that's so sweet to read.
I just discovered (again) that certain/some men are shallow from ages 23-78. Harrumph!
Off for the evening shortly. My family in town always takes a bit out of me. I am taking tomorrow off to have a weekend.
Shira, welcome home. The kitties send their love.
Sounds like a fantastic idea, YWIW. Enjoy your day!
*hugs YWIW* Give the kitties love and hugs!

"men are shallow from ages 23-78"
Excuse me?
Some men. I'll have to go edit that. I apologize for generalizing in a moment of frustration.

You know, the only thing worse than a Monday morning is a damp, dark, dreary Monday morning.
That said, Good Morning!

Morning!
An advanced wish of a random and drunken St. Patrick's Day, as I won't be here tomorrow.

Crappy Monday! Actually, we might have a record high this week of 70 tomorrow. It is very pleasant today!
Morning peeps lah !!! Not sure what happened to this weekend, but it flew by. Couldn't be that I left work at 6 a.m. on Saturday, went home, got into bed at 10:30 a.m. and didn't wake up until 6 a.m. Sunday morning? Yes, I slept my Saturday away. I haven't done that since my Studio 54 days, but I had an excuse back then
Mornin' Kids!
Hey B!
I wish I could sleep like that! Instead I got up at 7:30 am Saturday morning, picked up the girls and watched them until 5:30 pm. That was a looonnnggg day!
*hugs LS*
This is why you have to come out here and visit...you can sleep days away without anyone bothering you
Shamey, I hear you.
On Saturday my cousin came over with her three adopted kids. Ages 6, 2 1/2 and 1 1/13. That woman is a saint.
Speaking of "saint"...I was watching "Queer as Folk" yesterday with a friend and in this episode Brian and his Mom are sitting in chuch and she is talking about how his father never had a kind word for her in over 30 years and he told her that she was really a "saint...well,as stone cold as one".
