Funny how we keep everyone abreast these days ... glad she's out ok.
Hi, I'm actually oing okay. I'm im minima pain, Mom and Dad are good. I'm achy, amd tender, but nothimg too bad at all!
Typing skills remain the same, that's a good sign!
Good!
I just took Zander for a short walk in one of those harness things. He was so confused!
*pounces on deet* (a tackle seemed harsh today)
You - I have seen so many cats on those lately, I still have to stop and watch. They really look confused ...
One in a while he would try to run on the gas - and *boing* back he would come.
For a first attempt he did OK. Right now he is fascinated by the flat screen TV, and keeps trying to swipe at the images at it.
This cat, Oy.

Shira, I hope all is well!
We are having a quiet night. Mrs. Brd and C15 are watching Twilight and the others are out for awhile. I installed some shelves, etc. in the girl's closet, not an easy task.
I'm so planning to watch Twilight tonight as well I want to see with all the fuss is about. I'm glad to hear Shira's okay as well.
wow, i'm the first post of the day. Adults must be busy.
I just got back from taking the kitties to the vet for their annual visit.
I am glad I only have to do that once a year!
Oh. Dear. God.
I don't know how much more bad news I can take. My niece's a-hole husband was involved in an accident last night - he and his buddies were out drinking, he was driving, none of them were wearing seat belts and one of the guys was thrown from the car and killed. My sister's falling apart.
Enough.
Oh D2!!!! My heart breaks for you and your family!!! How are the other passengers??
I'm not sure - all I've been told is that the one young man was killed, and that everyone is pretty much in shock. My niece, being an attorney, has gotten the a-hole the best defense lawyer around. Other than that I don't know much else.
The most frustrating thing is that there's really nothing I can do except wait for more info, and pray that this doesn't make my sister sick. And that my niece wakes up and dumps this chump.
I unfortunately have way too much experience with every aspect of this situation. It's hard for your neice, I'm sure she is just in shock right now and protecting him because it comes naturally. Hopefully as time plays out she will come to her senses and learn this isn't her situation and not let it plague her life.
I thought about that, Tink, and I'm sorry if I stirred things up. But I also respect your position and experience with this, and I think you're absolutely right in what you said.
I'm just so saddened that she has to go through this, and also that he, no matter what the outcome, is going to have to live with this for the rest of his life.

oh D2, it's ok, but thank you for the concern. It does suck for him, but everyone has to be responsible for their own actions. Pretty much every important man in my life other than Chris (ironic) has been in a DWI situation (luckily they never harmed anyone else with their stupidity)....it is a VERY tough situation to come back from for them and those around them, but hopefully he learns from it. I also knew a group of girls in HS that went joy riding and got into an accident and two of them died. I saw what that did for the living survivors. It is awful all around. When Chris first died, a lot of people speculated that it was alcohol related and it tore me apart. I knew from moment one in my heart it wasnt but it just puts a black cloud on an already tough situation.
I wish nothing but stregnth and best wishes for your family!!
My sister and I were talking about that, Tink - he's had close calls before, and both of us were always afraid that something like this would happen. And you're right, he does have to take responsibility for his actions but I'm just saddened (and furious) that the jerk has done this to my niece and their marriage. I just want to smack the crap out of him and scream WHAT THE F*CK WERE YOU THINKING!?!
Only thing they can hope for right now is that the members of the deceased family don't try to make more trouble than he'll already be in.
Yes, D2, that would be very theraputic.
On a positive note, Shira posted on Facebook that she is home. All it says is "Home. Fluids and sleep."
Well, I dunno Tink. I am glad he got a good criminal lawyer, but he may need a good civil one as well.
I will keep my fingers crossed that everyone gets through this as best as they can.
D2 - where do they live?
