Good Sunday evening everyone
Glad you had a great weekend, Addy, and new shoes are always fun. Mine was pretty uneventful but I did go to a piano recital today to watch two grandsons perform their pieces. It was fun. All the kids did a great job. The highlight for me was my oldest grandson playing the music from Phantom of the Opera. I'm not sure it had anything to do with my broadway obsession but it pleased me.

Congrats on finishing the essay, gh! Now it's time to play.
addict, that must have been so special to hear your grandsons. I used to love my piano recitals... Now I don't really like to play for people, but love just sitting down at the keyboard for myself.
I got Stuart Weitzmans. Pretty! It wasn't intended, but I was taking the bus to meet someone for dinner (it was POURING out and there were no cabs in sight), and when I stepped off the bus one of the shoes I was wearing broke. Fortunately I was meeting my friend at the Time Warner center, and I had a bit of time to spare, so I ducked into the nearest shoe store, and found a pair of shoes which worked perfectly! So, I bought them and just wore them out of the store. I had been intending to do some shoe shopping, so this just kind of forced the plan!

I don't have one in my apartment. I so wish I did. I try to find places in the city where I can spend some time playing, and am able to play whenever I'm at my parents. I love it.
I may look into a keyboard. Just so I have something at home...

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!
It may have been pouring rain when my shoe broke getting off the bus... but it gave me the chance to buy a pretty pair of shoes. And then the night was just wonderful... delicious dinner out and lots of fun with a friend. Oh, the joy!
