Cookie - last night was the beginning of a month-long food and wine celebration at Disney's California Adventure park. As part of the programs, they're having a guest chef come in to their 4-star restaurant on Thursdays to do a four course Vinter's Prix Fixe. We went to the first one last night, and I thought of you. Absolutely exquisite food - food as art. The ending was an orange infused rose gelato that was one of the most sublime things I've ever tasted.
Ok, you want drama. Here’s some drama.
I think she’s got some nerve trying to act all jealous and hurt when she disappears for almost a month without a word to me. She’s talking to Dame, Kitz, Moony and who knows who else, but does she even bother to think of me once. NO.
So, I moved on too. Sue me.
Uh, oh.

Sue me, Sue me, what can you do me? I love you !
That sounds awesome, DG.
Oh wow, DG! That sounds absolutely amazing! And deliciously so! I've a culinary weekend ahead and am looking forward to it immensely! I shall try and remember all to share, if I don't go into food overload!

It was, DD! This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to anyway - and having the influx of these top chefs for a meal is extraordinary. We can only go to the one next week - but at least we will have gotten to two of them.

Anything called 'infused' sounds sophisticated.
A culinary weekend? I just gained a few pounds just reading that, cookie.
A friend and I are trying to visit the recently listed top 10 restaurants in Seattle. 1 down... 9 to go.
a bittersweet chocolate cake infused with Earl Grey tea in the batter, Moony?

Cookie - I asked for a copy of the menu so I wouldn't have to try and remember it all!
Moony - I have NEVER tasted anything like that rose gelato. I know they do a lot with roses in France (jellies and whatnot) but I hadn't ever had anything using them before. I just kept saying, "It tastes like roses!" - and I didn't even know what that meant. But it DID!

Ahhhh....a chocolate high descends upon me and I am infused with delight.
Thanks, Boobs. I will now be singing that for the rest of the afternoon!

I am going to a French Bistro - but very low end - still tasty!
you could brew a very concentrated rose-hip tea, and pour that into an ice cream maker set on sorbet mode. Lavendar sorbet is also a treat in the summer.

C, did you audition for the Food Network's show that is looking for a host? I cannot recall the name.
Me? Host a show? I dinna think that is likely...
You ask for drama and I try to give it to you, and then you bury it under food talk.
