I occasonally have a life.
Vitamin water is quite refreshing
I think I've had about a gallon of water in the last hour...
It's getting hotter and muggier... I wouldn't mind a thunderstorm to clear it all out.
I am currently drinking revive, cookie.
I love Vitamin water.
I've got essential, DD...
We're supposed to get some pretty heavy T-storms, Addy... At least that's what the failed scientists say...
If it cools things off, I hope they're right!
...on an unrelated note, I'm quite excited about one of my concerts next year. The next concert in our American Composer series at Alice Tully Hall is going to be John Adams' 'Nixon in China' with titles and video images. There will be a discussion with Carl Bernstein who will serve as 'host' for the concert performance...
Save March 20th!
Wow! That sounds awesome, Addy. I missed "Nixon in China" when it was first produced at the Kennedy Center. *kicks self*
Well, if you're in NYC...
I just might have to be...
not meaning to put a damper on the mood, but my beta is dying. I don't know what else to do... I put medicine in his water and all. Oh well... I've had him for almost 2 years.
I don't know their lifespan... I'm sorry.
It can't be that long... they're only like $1.50.
I did nurse him back from his deathbed about a year ago, so who knows...

I just saw that this board is on 7 wow!
I had 3 drops of rain oday, and I've been drinking a TON of, *gasp* water, instead of my usual gallon of diet coke.
Just got back from David Burnham's concert -- I kept looking for Addy and Cookie, I figured they'd be there!

Good evening all! I just got home from a screening of the most wonderful documentary! If you have the Sundance Channel - it airs on Monday, June 26th and is called "Follow my Voice - THe Music of Hedwig". Watch for it - it is just beautiful. It deals with the creation of a tribute/compilation cd called Wig in a Box (which I own - it's great) where artists such as THe Breeders, Rufus Wainright, Cyndi Lauper and even Yoko Ono re-create the music from Hedwig, and all the proceeds go to the Harvey Milk school and Hetrick Martin youth services. The best stuff in the film however is contributions from four of the students of the school. THe film is absolutely breathtaking. It recieved a seven minute standing ovation afterward - and even John Cameron Mitchell (yes - he was there) was moved to tears at that point. His parents were in the audience too! That was cool. I got to ask a question after - and I said how grateful I was to be there tonight especially since I sat in the balcony three years ago in the same theater when Hedwig premiered at this very festival. THat statement raised another round of applause. All in all - it was a good night. So - watch out for the film - if you don't have Sundance, I am sure it will be available on DVD as well.
Oh - and Boobsie - have a great trip baby! Love you!
cheeze, that sounds like an AMAZING evening! I'll be sure to tune in!
...I planned on getting to bed early (apparently I AM worn out from the weekend!), but it's so hot and humid I couldn't sleep. So, got a big glass of ice water and thought I'd stop by here for a bit.
Glad I did!
Cheeze...just, Wow.
