I'm hoping someone will have fireworks, but if not, the stars are pretty amazing, all by themselves, over there.
I'm still trying to think of a red, white and blue drink that won't kill me.

I like to keep my island drinks simple. Give me a good pina colada or an ice cold Kalik and I'm happy.
I LOVE fireworks too. I've got my fingers crossed that someone will have some. If all else fails, my brother will probably fire off a flare or two.

I usually watch the fireworks at Ft. Lauderdale Beach. They lauch them off of a barge right offshore.
What's really cool is watching them from my parents' balcony, because you can see all of the different shows down the beach for miles.

oooh - that sounds fantastic!
I love the Macy's fireworks display around NYC. Spectacular!
My July 4th weekend includes the final performance of Light in the Piazza and going to see Judy Kaye perform a Bernstein program (part of the American Songbook series) at Caramoor. Also, a 'shore dinner' - which is a big clambake/lobsterfest! I'll be all over the place, but love all the activities!

What, Cookie, that I'm going to the Bahamas next weekend for four wonderful, sun-filled, relaxing days? I'd never rub that in.

Shameless - I went to the Bahamas over the 4th about 6 years ago and stayed at Atlantis on Paradise Island. It was fun.
