Well, no, but we can talk about so many better things.
I am doing a demo of a show I did a reading of and it's QUITE good. It definitely has its problems, but amazingly, it's mostly in the music and NOT the absolutely well-written book and pretty good lyrics. It's pretty much good enough to be a straight play but I enjoy it as a musical (and it has a strip-tease number sung by Ann Coulter about putting a guy in the electric chair...what could be better?).
Is he big and hard when she puts him in the electric chair??? Just wondering...
well that's an uplifting toe tapper BWAY....

Please tell me it's not the Coulter character that strips? Sounds interesting - and the point of this piece is what?
It's about Lindh, the American Taliban guy (and it's not the one that played the Fringe Festival).
I played the Taliban guy. It was very fun and quite a stretch from my usual fun-loving self.
It's not a happy musical, KMF, but it is, surprisingly, ultimately uplifting.
Anything Uplifting is good for me.

Wow - there's A LOT that could be said with that story!
I am sure yo all know I was being silly -- it's sounds great BWAY -- hope I get to see and hear it (WITH YOU IN IT) soon!
DG, it's actually a VERY interesting show. Lindh, waiting to be sentenced in his jail cell, is visited by the ghost of the first American soldier killed in Afghanistan. The piece explores what it means to be an American, the disillusionment, the privilege, and ultimately arrives at a sort of understanding between the two characters that they might not be that far apart.
Oh KMF- we all know you were being a Silly Willie. You know we love you and this is the thread to always come when you want to be silly...Silly.
I have to stop eating these Twizzlers and get to bed. My name is Boobs and I'm a Twizzlerholic.

bway - I actually can see it more as a play - how is the music done? in what style?
I've really gotten to play some fun, different characters recently. And that's always nice.
Undi...does that make you a cerealholic?

I'm still drinking wine - just a good old-fashioned alcoholic
Sorry..we're talking about Bway's play (musical).
Oh yea...what happened to Snap, Crackle and Pop?
DG, the composer really attempted to be rather modern. The better pieces tend to generate some sort of melody. When he sinks into a melody that actually lasts for any length of time, it's quite shockingly good. But, far too often, there's an attempt at cleverness...and I always subscribe to the theory that you kind of have to let cleverness or "Art" happen on its own and trying to force it only makes it look bad.
But, my understanding is that I have a new song to sing and several of the previous pieces have been rewritten.

bway - how big is the cast? any talk on how the music will be done? band? piano?
Well, to be honest, I've done so many readings and subsequent demos that I don't even know if some of them have been produced and I just missed it. :)
But, after doing the initial reading of this, I felt very different and thought it had a chance; not to mention that they seemed very pleased with me and have attempted to keep in touch and check in on my availability from time to time.
we all hope nothing but the best -- so now when are you going to walk that cute pug - I'm staying in midtown this week and want to scoop you away.....
LOL. I walk him every day. When I'm not working, I walk him three times.
well -- you posted those pictures -- so be on the lookout -- I might kidnap you!
Oh well my adult friends...it's time for Boobs to get his beauty rest. Kisses and hugs all around.
B'way, I can sleep a little later tomorrow morning, not going into work, so can you bring me my coffee around 9 a.m. You're such a doll.
