No - John won't mind all the queens...he's the gayest straight guy I know!
...and I say that in the most loving way possible...take everything you love about gay and straight and put them into one person and that's who I lucked out with!
DG - I'm sure he'd love every minute!
Just don't forget what his wife's name is.... (how convenient for me...)

NYadgal - I've been meaning to ask - do you actually get to go to the final show on Sunday?
Yes - I'm so excited!
DG - I went last night, I'm going tonight, I'm going Saturday night and I'm going Sunday. I have to miss Friday because I have a friend's surprise 40th birthday party to go to, and I gave my Saturday matinee tickets away...
Now before you fall off your chair - I had purchased the tickets for Saturday night as a gift for my mom a long time ago. (I had originally purchased tickets to the matinee, and then the evening performance went on sale - so I gave my matinee tickets away). I had tickets last night to take a client - which was also arranged a long time ago.
John wasn't aware of all of these prior commitments, and he wanted to get me something to lift my spirits - so he got me two tickets for tonight - to take my friend Mark, who lives in NY, and then John is flying in on Saturday to take me on Sunday...
I am having a Hugh week. And it is making me very happy.
And, I think the final peformance on Sunday should be quite an event! We have orchestra seats!!

NYadgal - quite frankly, if I had the availability, I would probably be there every day with you - and I wouldn't have any rationale to it other than it would be like going to church I assume we'll hear all about Sunday's show - I would KILL to see the audience interactions on that day!
I will do my very best to remember every single detail! And, I will try to sneak in a camera for curtain calls (it seems to be tolerated at final performances...)
And, as mentioned earlier, I'm also having a Peter Allen week, which is very meaningful to me...
NYadgal...if for some reason there winds up being an extra ticket for the Sunday performance..just give me a yell...I'll be around.
NYadgal, you are so lucky. I would've love to have seen Hugh one more time. Only 5 times for me over the course of the year. Can't wait to hear the reviews after Sunday's show. I was checking out the ticket auctions on Ebay earlier just to see some of the amounts people were willing/able to spend. The BCEFA was over $10,000 when I checked. I think that would may have ended by now. Good for them!
What BWW drama have I missed today? I've been in and out of meetings throughout the day.
DGrant - hope you're having a great b-day!!

bdwaygirl - all I've done is sit on my butt and play with the board - I'm having a GREAT time
The drama on the board seems to be happening simultaneously on different threads. It's like I'm at a three-ring circus - you just can't see everything at once.

Dang! I hate when that stuff happens and I actually have to earn my living!
Glad you're sitting back enjoying it all!

A bowling group? That sounds like fun. Also sounds a bit dangerous with this group.
Danger is good, Nina!
Boobs - if John misses his flight, you will be the first person I call.
Drama....imagine on BroadwayWorld...
bwaygirl - I saw the Broadway Cares/EFA benefit package on ebay...which I believe is well over $10,000. However - Row A tickets, an escorted invitation to the cast party - and the money goes to charity - I'm surprised the price didn't go higher! The $5,000 Actors equity fund tickets sold out in mere minutes...I've never seen such demand for tickets!!
Thanks NYadgal....of course I hope John doesn't miss his flight, but you do have my home phone number just in case. After all, we do share the same name and birthday so what's the difference. Well except that one thing that I used to do, but don't do anymore. Um you know what I'm talking about sweetie. At least he wouldn't have to worry about you cheating on him...LOL.
That IS a pretty big difference...lol!
(and he knows I would never cheat on him...not even with Hugh!)
Boobs, my dear, if John can't make it, there is nobody I would rather have next to me than you!
NYadgal...you know how much I love you my friend...and that just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Thank You darling. xo
Nyadgal, you're making me envious over the idea of you possibly spending an evening with Hugh and in the company of Boobs.
And, you soon may be bowlinmg with Boobs.
Ok, I just like saying these silly Boobs things.
Bowling with Boobs - sounds like the social event of the year!!

I just thought that I'd share the fact that my gift to myself today has been to do absolutely NOTHING - and it's been GREAT! The only thing I've accomplished is a nice long nap
I can't think of a nicer present. Well, I can, but Zola doesn't seem to be online right now.
I hope you have a wonderful birthday evening, DG

I'm going to enjoy a dinner that I don't have to cool or clean up after, and then curl up with my honey and watch a movie
