Hello folks more news on the Lizzie front. They will be coming home tomorrow morning. We now have some pictures and I will be posting them soon. I think the best one is Lizzie w/ her great grandpa (Dave's dad).
Had a little bit of excitment, when i got home from visiting Anna and Lizzie, all the smoke dectors were going off, seems that when the humidity rises to a certin point Smoke dectors that are hot wired in to a house will just go off. Man I think I have had enough excitment for one day!

*surfaces at last*

Hey, everyone, I've been lurking like crazy the past week with only a few chances to post...where does time go??? Work has been busy and my nights are jammed right now.

Oh well...I'm home a bit tonight for a change.

Even when I can't stop to participate it just warms my heart to listen in. I sometimes feel like a little kid peeking through the rail of the stairway as the adults party below.

Hope everyone is well...safe... We're battling some flooding in my area thanks to Frances. But so far my place is dry. *crosses fingers*

Did I understand that a couple of you are going to see Hugh in his final performance in BFO??? Please blow him a kiss for me. *sigh*

Speaking of "Hugh"...I remember the following song being part of a parody on some variety show (Donny and Marie???) where the guys' name "Hugh" was substituted for "You"

Michael laughs at me because with my Jersey accent I guess I pronounce Hugh as You. One time we ran into a guy we knew named Hugh and I said.."Hey Hugh, how are you?" Haha, everyone laugh at the Jersey guy.

Sorry Bboobs...! :o) Being in upstate New York, we think the accents in and around "the city" are a hoot! :o) I have a friend from Newburgh who lived and worked in NYC who I always tease when she asks me to visit so we can tawk or go to the mawl. :o) tee hee...

Don't you worry Boobs - my sister was born in hackensack (when we lived in Moonachie) - and she really regrets not having developed that 'voice' - although the attitude seems to be genetically hardwired

DG...tell you sista that all she needs to do is spend a weekend with me and she'll start talking with the accent. (sista, brotha). Michael has picked up some words and his Dad laughs at him when we visit them in Chicago and he comes out with a word they would never say in the Midwest.

A large percentage of my Univeristy is attended by kids from the tri-state area so we got to hear the "accents" alot.

But they thought WE had an accent, too... And, we had professors from all over the world. Including a theology prof from Tiawan who had a rather thick accent and a difficult to pronouce name--but she told us "You can call me 'Louise' " so Professor Louise it was! :o)

And Bboobs, sweetie, you can talk however you wish as long as you do more of your home cooking and share the recipes! *hugs Bboobs*

It's funny to me, because even though she was two when we left, if she gets around people who have that accent, she picks it right up. Again, I swear it's genetic - there's something in the water there

I'm going to go give "Medical Investigation" a shot (it's premiering right now on NBC.

The Angels in America "Millenium Approaches" airs at 11:30 on HBO2 (all three chapters)... let's see if I go to bed at 2:30 and get up at 6... I am just "addicted" to AIA!

Sinatra is from Hoboken and I believe Travolta is from Fort Lee. I'm not sure who is from Hackensak.

once again...she arrives just moments after everyone has gone to bed. (Well, actually, a bit more than moments...)

Hugh was dreamy, as always. (Even though I'm sure he has a boost of energy for this last week - he must be exhausted!! That man needs to SLEEP!)
