Well gang, believe it or not, tomorrow will be 3 years since the attacks. I still feel like it was yesterday. Say an extra prayer tonight for the victims, their families, and friends. I don't mean to bring anyone down, but that NYC singing cop (Name?) just sang God Bless America here and I still have chills, mixed with tears. What a day..boy can I use a dirty martini right about now.

And a hug, BOOOOOOBS, don't forget the hugs.
Wow. Three years already. That's a sobering thought. It's also scary to think about how much our world has changed in such a short amount of time.

Me too DG...I send him the chuckle via email everyday and he hasn't responded. I keep him in my prayers. Hopefully we'll hear from him soon. I'm sure if he came on under an alias, he'd still PM the 2 of us to let us know. Hopefully we'll him from him soon.

What are people's plans for the weekend? We're doing dinner and a show tonight, stopping by to chat with some friends at their book club tomorrow (they call themselves 'lesbians with books, even though not all of them are - very fun group!) with Disney in the evening, and probably a day of rest on Sunday.

TGIF!
For a 'short' week, this was a long one...
Bringing coffee for all...although I would be happier if mine was spiked. I, too, have had QUITE the morning...
Mom - enjoy this special day. And take LOTS of pictures.
Boobs & DG - I will look for you in the air next weekend...and will send kisses to those below!
September 11th - 3 years that seem like forever, yet also seem like they've passed in a flash. My loss on 9/11 was both National and personal. And the loss is still so fresh. I will be attending two memorial gatherings during the day tomorrow. And was invited to a few others that I can't attend. Tragic.
Gotta run...hope you all have a great day (and yours gets better, Boobs!)

I'm driving to Connecticut tonight for a friend's 40th birthday surprise party.
Tomorrow morning I have a memorial service at 8:30am - and then another at 10:00am. I'll spend the rest of the day in Connecticut visiting with my parents. Then it's back to the city - with Mom - and I'm taking her to dinner and to see The Boy From Oz. (And there may or may not be a gentleman waiting for me when I get home...John might have to be in Prague for business on Monday, so he's letting me know this morning if he's coming to New York) Sunday morning I plan to do nothing but stay in bed, and Sunday afternoon I have tickets to the final performance of The Boy From Oz. Oh, and I'm blowing off a wedding shower that I was invited to on Sunday...but I so don't want to go and make silly ribbon bouquets!....
I like to keep busy!

LOL, DG - I've already braced myself!!
I secretly think John is too scared to take me to the show on Sunday...so he's conveniently scheduling business in Europe...I'm trying to get him to push it all back a day...told him I would make it worth his while...

After 5 days of built-up tension, John might need hospitalization! By the way, what ARE you going to do without your daily Hugh fix?

That made me LAUGH OUT LOUD! (I think that's why he's afraid!)
I am going to try to get my life back...and just keep watching my DVDs... Thank goodness the show is ending, I'm not sure I could take much more!
