bwayaddict - isn't it funny how everyone else gets older and we just stay the same? Thank goodness we still see the inner child!!

Boobs...one moment please....you're a guy?
I thought otherwise. silly me.
Bboobs - I am laughing OUT LOUD!
I hated the shower routine - some wierdo who always got out of actually participating in Gym would volunteer to hand out towels to everyone after we ran through the shower maze. Yuk.

Oh my god, Boobs!!!!! I can't stop laughing!
That poor kid never lived it down for 4 years of HS.
Jose' I believe you even know what I look like...I believe we met briefly at Standing Oavations.
My school mascot was an aligator in junior high and a cardinal in high school.
My college was an Indian. SO not-pc!
Jose - I've realized a couple of times that I had the wrong gender for some of the people who have been posting.
I think I've got most of this group down, now...but had a few surprises along the way.
I've got 'visuals' in my mind for everyone...which I'm SURE have nothing to do with reality!! LOL!

So NYadgal - did everyone in your junior high wear Izod stuff?

NYadgal...
Boy I wish I could get a group going like that. For awhile there were some but they've moved away, have growing families, etc.
My mother was part of a bridge club and I remember helping her prepare the house when it was her turn to host. She had this salad bowl set she always used.
Plastic. Black exterior, hot pink interior with matching bowls. She'd put homemade Chex Party Mix in the big bowl and use the "salad bowls" for serving...

Boobs - all I can think of is the bus in SIXTEEN CANDLES - "Score, a direct hit!"
ok, in keeping with the grooming and hygiene theme (LOL) - long before blowdryers were invented I had one of those portable helmet hairdryers. It was awful - baking my head in it just to get my hair dry.
My mom finally bought me one that had a 'shower cap' thing that attached to a hose that attached to the portable hair dryer. It even had a little place to dry my nails. What a waste of time!

High school for me was shirt, jeans and Docksiders - NO socks.

In High School we were the "CONCHS" -- that's right, the Queen sea shell of the sea.
In College the "GATORS"
And boobs, I'm sorry but I'm not connecting you with anyone. I only spoke with a few people at SO. So I'm drawing a blank.
Mea culpa. Mea culpa. Mea maxima maxima culpa
Oh, I forgot, my first two years of college were at South Florida where we were the "TROJANS." I never understood why exactly.

My HS had a Tiger as a mascot.
My college was a bit confused. St. Bonaventure University was "Officially" the Brown Indians (not pc) with the associated mascot. However, the nickname is always the Bonnies...now I understand they have eliminated the "Brown Indians" and go by "Bonnies" which makes me wonder if they terrify the opposition with a mascot dressed as a bagpiper.
Colors are brown and white which reflect the "Franciscan Tradition."

I can think of a couple of reasons why a college would have trojans as their mascot
Jose' I believe I met you outside if you were the Jose' who got your tickets from my partner Mike.

NYadgal...omigosh. Those old hair dryers with the plastic cap and the hose pouring super hot air onto your head. I HATED using it.
And...did you ever Dippety-Do?

Wow - I'm seeing a lot of catholic school history mentioned here (for me it was 6 years of prep and then Catholic Univ of America in DC) - should this be telling us something?
DGrant - laughing!! Yes, we all wore alot of Izod. But that had more to do with the fact that I grew up in a really preppy town. Classic Preppy Handbook stuff!
I love bridge - although I'm not great at it because I don't get to play it very often. Mom had - and still has - a regular bridge group, so I substitute every once in a while. Yep - we had those same bowls!!
Bboobs - I remember those shirts! lovely, weren't they?!

DG that may have been the exact reason.
Boobs, I am one and the same. Sorry for not remembering.

Wow - the Preppy Handbook - I actually remember that.

My folks taught us pinochele and now we have a cutthroat partners tournament on holidays.
Heaven help the person who reneges.

Jose' I wouldn't expect you to remember, it was all very quick and I really wasn't posting until after that night. It was because of that event and meeting some members that I decided to post. So glad I did.
