Scarily, I still have the painter's pants and the Frye boots. At least they still fit!
yes - I remember those!! lol!
also remember wearing ribbed cotton shirts that had a zipper down the front - with a ring on the zipper...
We used to have to put a safety pin in the back - at a certain point - so that when the boys pulled on the ring it wouldn't reveal too much.
(NOT that there was anything to reveal at that point...)
I had that same shirt, but us guys wore them all the way unzipped on purpose.
yeah - guys could do that...
gauze shirt and pants in the summer.
Pea coats and six foot long striped scarves in winter
how about the paper jumpsuits and the paper pants. Your fear was, when you went to a club to dance your tush off you might get touched by a cigarette. Big holes, big holes.
My dad had a paper swimsuit!!!! That was a concept.
my mom had a paper dress!
A mini, sleeveless paper dress... Brave!

I was just looking at that!
I kind of wish they had the 'original' version - in the red box...but, I think time spent making perfect loops will be fun.
Especially with a drink in hand...
So - count me in!

wouldn't it be fun to do some spirographs and post them here so we can see what we all did... after a couple of drinks of course.
Sounds like another reason for a party!
remember clackers. They were made of glass and after about 6 months they were banned, because they would break and there were a bunch injuries. Then they came back but they were plastic....it wasnt quite the same
LOL........we did clackers Bobby and all discussed the colored balls and our injuries good times, good times.
Did we discuss Etch-A-Sketch?? Did anyone else try to bust theirs to see how it worked??

I had the original set just like that - and the refills...
(shoot - now I can't get that link to work...oh well - it had the original box - with the original set...)
I didn't break mine Torontoboy, but would make pictures on it that were a little off color and blame it on my little brother, who always found it funny.
I loved etch-a-sketch!
Have you ever seen the person who does incredible ART on etch-a-sketch? I've seen it on Dateline - or one of those shows. Amazing!
What did everyone collect??? I used to collect coins and stamps.
Hot Wheels..........man o man did I love those cars.
Collect:
shells
Playbills (have one for every show I've ever seen!)
china dogs
Watches....I have no idea how many I have!
Remember those magnetic alpahabet we all learned from...they were on the fridge and as you got older the words you would spell out, Hmmm...like I really needed to know the reason I would get slaps in the head out of nowhere...LOL !!!
and some of the letters were always missing, so you had to use an upside-down W for an M...or an E backwards with an L for a B...
