And of course:
The Grinch
A Charlie Brown Christmas
oh yes
Little Drummer Boy still makes me cry...talk about a sap!
Bumbles bounce!
Anybody remember the Superfriends during the 70's when they hard really PC superheroes nobody cared about. I believe one was black, one was Asian and one was...uh...maybe native American?
I loved the Bumble!! I even found a tree ornament a few years ago!
robbiej - That PC Superfriends sounds very familiar. I tried to find a website for them, but I could only find the standard Superfriends stuff.
My favorite childhood toys:

I loved weebles...
Just saw a Clay-mation sketch on MAD TV which parodied cops and they arrested toys who were causing trouble
Gumby was arrested for robbery, Paddington Bear in his rain hat and yellow slicker was a flasher, the Rock 'em Sock 'em robots were brawling ...it was so funny!

I call the couple next door, The Weebles. They are both 5'tall and weigh about 200. I giggle every time I see them.
Did anyone else have a game called Batteling Tops?
Ahh. Our computers were down at work. So I actually got work done. And yes; milton the monster was a frankenstein like monster. Now; wheres that champagne?
Why is it that I can be gone for hours and hours and as soon as champagne is mentioned, I'm right back??!
I PROMISE that it isn't on purpose...
Champagne is chilling in the fridge Dame.
I'm sipping my champagne while I'm listening to Cat Stevens' "Tea for the Tillerman"...an old favorite of mine. Just love.."Wild World"...old memories just come flooding back.
I will have Carole King on as soon as I am done yelling at verizon for sendingme the wrong phone. I have been on hold now for about 20 minutes. Boobs; I hope it isn't Korvelles. nothing worst than a cheap champagne hangover. Especially one day before Mojito Friday!
boobs - Tea for the Tillerman! oh god - I cannot believe you are playing that!
I just got home, and am very, very sad about work...and the first record (yes, record!) I put on was Tea for the Tillerman!
There is something about the tone of that album, and the songs that Cat Stevens wrote/sang/recorded that spoke to me tonight. I know I can't 'prove it', but that's what I'm listening to right now...
not sure what else to say...
I'm going to go find something happy to post about...
nothing worse than a cheap champagne hangover...but, rest assured, the champagne at 'Chez Adgal' ain't cheap...nothing but the best for my friends!
NYadgal were we separated at birth???? So many songs on this album are brilliant, Father & Son is another favorite. My best friend from HS used to sing the father part and I would do the son part...of course I was a tenor and he was a baritone.
Dame nothing but Veuve for me.
um...Boobs...I was just about to write that the only champagne served at 'Chez Adgal' was Veuve Cliquot...but I thought it would come off sounding sounding 'snobbish'...
If not separated at birth, then planets must be aligned that we 'meet'!
Tea for the Tillerman...every note, every word, every picture on the album cover means something to me. Which is why I reached for it the minute I got home after a rough day...
Alright darn it. The hell with carole King. Cat Stevens is going in.
You must be my sister because the one I have I really don't want. You know what they say..you can pick your nose, you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family...LOL !!!
Thanks for joining us with the Cat Stevens, Dame...you'll be happy you did. Veuve all around...cheers...to new friends !!!
Mine is the actual LP. it is one of those I never got on cd. I love the sound of LP's. ( My old ones)
Here..Here.. Dame..me too..the scratches are even memories.
I think my sister had gotten me this record. Whats the difference between a album and a record?
Probably the same between Macaroni and Pasta in my house...no difference.
