Yay! :)

Yes, she's kind of goofy and wholesome. But, I find that refreshing in a world full of X-Tina's and drugged-up Whitney Houston's.

She seems to honestly love her husband and I respect the devotion she has to him and her family.

Most importantly.....she actually just SINGS.....not yodels. She can hold a note like a normal person. If I have to hear one more female singer yodel their way through some song a'la Mariah or Christina I'm going to scream.

If anyone has the chops to become the next Babs it's her. Updated On: 12/17/04 at 07:00 AM

Yay, I have loved this woman since I've heard her sing Beuaty and the Beast. Then I picked up her album, Celine Dion and I had to learn every word to it.

Does anyone know the song, "I love you, goodbye"? It's my favorite. I adored her up until Titanic and that's the only song of hers the I can't stand (or and refuse to dance, what it that?)

I still have not seen her in Vegas but I can't wait.

Hey Matt_G, does she sing any older songs of her?

It's worth a shot/ :) www.freephotoiPods.com/?r=15009978

Celine Dion is one of my least favorite female singers. I find her style is way too "over the top" ,overblown, and overproduced for me.

On the other hand, even though I don't care for her style, at least Celine can sing...as compared to folks like Jessica Simpson, Ashley Simpson, Usher...and several other flavors of the week.

Quirkiness aside, love the woman. Would love to see her show - comps anyone?

And she does a lot for the community here in Vegas - she contributes to many charities. It's nice to have a great neighbor. (Ok, miles away through a heavily guarded gate, but oh well.)

I simply do not understand.

Admittedly, I'm not a Celine groupie (though the woman has her moments), but what's with everybody calling her 'weird'?

What I love more than anything about her and Whitney and X-tina and Britney and Madonna and nearly every other diva you could mention is how absolutely bizarre they are in their lives. The quirks, the tantrums, the drug addictions, the failed marriages, the nervous breakdowns. Those are the qualities I cherish in my divas. Anybody can sing. It's the emotional and psychological unstability that you can't cultivate or nurture.

Women who can sing and who are normal?

That's what Broadway's for.

Have you seen the Judy Garldand Show Christmas Special lately, D???

My best friend has a viewing every year and we sit in absolute SHOCK that this was ever aired. First, Liza's 'beau' Tracey something-or-other??? The one who choreographed the STEAM HEAT number (that perennial Xmas favorite). And for whom little Joey Luft has an unnatural affinty? BRILLIANT! And a hottie too!

And Jack Jones? The man DESPERATELY tried to make it through the evening and had to cover Judy's ass time and again.

But I will never, NEVER get over the sleigh ride medley in which Judy just forgets to sing and seems to have a conversation in her head with...I HAVE NO IDEA! Toto, maybe?

Add to it her hatred for and revenge on Mel Torme, the disturbing dancing Santas straight out of SUBWAYS ARE FOR SLEEPING and Lorna beating herself up for every mistake (hers and everyone else's) and you have the GREATREST Christmas special of all time.

Robbie, I must disagree with you on one thing. NOT anybody can sing like Celine. I can't think of one other person who can match her vocal abilities.

Silly Matt.

I would never say that. I actually said, 'Anybody can sing.'

We all the know only person who can sing like Miss Celine Dion is Eden Espinoza.

Sheesh!

Robbie, at the risk of exposing myself as an absolute fraud, I must admit I've never seen that special - but you have made it imperative re: Celine Dion. Yay or Nay?

I believe you can pick it up on DVD...it is worth every f*cking penny!!!

Also, TRIO was showing it last year. You may want to check their listings.

I will never speak to you again if you don't see it and report back by Xmas eve.

WORK, BITCH, WORK!

It's tacky and ridiculous and many Canadians don't like it. Have you SEEN the music video?

Love Celine! Amazing voice. Quirky, but totally lovable personality. A real talent. A voice for the ages.
