Uhhh....
IMO- Sounds like 'Stronger' from 2001.
Is anyone alerting anyone that she already made this record?
especially since she uses the lyrics
Strong enough to rise above
and
Love Hurts.
thoughts??

It is what she has always done. Works for her.
Eh. It feels like since Believe it has all been the same.
I don't love it. I'm not sure I even like it. Disappointing...if it wasn't Cher, I wouldn't give it a second thought. I'm still looking forward to the album, though.
Yea, that's a terrible song.

Come on guys! It's the second-best dance song by a 70 year old this year!

She's been obsessed with the vocoder since "Believe". This song sounds like 1997, but I'm sure she doesn't give a f@#k.
I can't let go of the fact that it's Cher enough to enjoy it. My first thought was, "Girl... you don't get on the floor in clubs. You sit home and call MSNBC and give fake names." I know she's selling to an audience, but the club references and damn vocoder stuff means all that I can hear are old fashioned cash registers.
If the whole album is like this, which I assume it is, I won't be a fan. I will buy it, but I won't like it. :P

it's disappointing. I wish she did a rock record.
word is that she did tracks with Timbaland.
nnooooooooo .
I didn't despise it but it's far from her best. It's kind of what I expected this album to be, so I'm not too disappointed. But looking at that picture, I really hope Chad wins Drag Race tomorrow night.
Are they actually going to announce a winner tomorrow or will it be announced on some reunion show? #teamchad
The song is incredibly generic, but like Jordan said, it's pretty much what I expected it to be, which is totally fine. At this point, I don't really need Cher to come out with re-defining material, she's Cher. I do wish she made a good movie though...
Speaking of DRAG RACE, I feel like this will be lip-synced by every drag queen across America, and perhaps that's the intention of the track even.
And I'm all about Juju! But Chad's fabulous.
Cher is a lucky broad, but she has always been one to ride a wave for too long until she becomes obsolete again. Believe was fresh and new and ahead of a trend. Living Proof was over before it began. She needs to lose the vocoder. Her vibrato is all the vocoder she needs.
I wish she'd make another rock album.
I do, too. Her rock albums are my favorite. I liked the album she wrote and distributed herself, too.
Not com.mercial?
I love that too - and actually some of the songs were quite catchy/commercial, though maybe the lyrics not so much.
Sisters of Mercy, Classified 1A, The Fall - all great.
I think if she used her tweets as lyrics to a Timbaland backbeat, that would make for an interesting record.
It feels like she's waiting for someone to tell her to do something different. Originally she didn't want to do a dance album, but she's always been coaxed into doing it.
She's also worked with P!NK on this album, too.
I thought she was working on a rock record, but then it was a covers album, then it was a 60/70's influenced record, and now it's back to the vocoder.
Awful song
Wow, it does remind me of 1997. Not that it's a bad thing but she's done that before...in 1997, lol. I guess it's the approximation to the sound she was last known for that makes it seem like a part 2 to "Believe" more than a decade later.
One thing though, you have to admit that she is a wonder of cosmetic surgery. I mean, she has managed to basically look the same for ages. Sure, she looks more mature than her Sonny and Cher days, but she's looked like this since the mid 90s. In other words, she has done that very rare thing, get by with only a few nips and tucks on points that denote age and has preserved the rest of her. Others go crazy with the naive hope the surgery will make them look 25 again, and they end up looking like Joan Rivers.
At least Cher still looks like Cher. And at her age, she's looking really good. Sans makeup, probably a horror, but who cares, lol.
Also, she sounds vocally impressive on that single. And that grating faux-vibrato of her's seems to have been tamed a bit. The vibrato she sports now is not only tolerable, it's attractive, and comes off as more of a timbre. Whether that's her or the wonders of recording technology at play, I don't know, but at least I'm not knashing my teeth at the ol' space alien vibrato with a rate of 2,000 vibrations per second.
Like everyone else, this won't prevent me from buying her album because...well, she's Cher.
And her voice is still one of the best and most unique out there.
I am surprised she's sticking with the dance thing though. She's reinvented her sound so many times I would have thought that she would try something new. She's taken the EDM thing as far as it can go, imo.
I still love her 80s pop/rock sound.

How long until she does a duets album of her old hits? Then a standards album, the a Christmas album.
I'd buy a standards album from Cher in a heartbeat! Especially if there's some Broadway thrown in there
She should sing an album version of her interpretation of WEST SIDE STORY.
She used to do really well with covers of standards back in the day. Bittersweet White Light was a good example, plus the songs she sang on her solo show.

^ THAT one. :)
I mentioned in my post she looks more mature than in her Sonny and Cher days (obviously, what was that...over 4 decades ago?), but that she's basically looked the same since the mid 90s.
I think she looks better now than she did when she was a young sliver of a thing. Back then she had a bulbous shnozz and really jacked up teeth, lol.
