I confess that I hung out with my ex-boyfriend earlier in the week and didn't mess around with him....

*titter*

I'm capable of it, really! I think maybe if I really dig down, it's not so much the monogamy thing as that right now I'm maybe just not that interested in sex at *all*; it just seems like I'm not interested in sex with *him*, when in truth, I'm not really interested in sex with ANYBODY...

Except this one particular ex-boyfriend. Who has been emailing me lately. Who also happens to manage to creep into my head right before I go to sleep at night...

This in itself is not an unusual thing. What's weird about it is...I actually feel REALLY rotten and guilty this time. I feel like even THINKING about sleeping with someone else is really not fair to P., and I feel like a whore.

What is WRONG with me? If I have acquired scruples in the past year, I Swear To Melissa I am going to defenestrate myself.

Having a conscience SUCKS...I don't know HOW you people have managed it all these years.

(I still feel NO remorse about locking the kids in the closet and telling them I was going to set the house afire, though...)

Jaily, it's akin to wedding jitters, or a seven-year-itch.

In your case it's the seven week itch, but no matter. You're dealing with the reality of MARRIAGE and it takes some getting used to.

Just think of the gorgeous kitchen and you'll get over it.

Okay, I'm gonna be serious for a minute (count down now) because I love Jaily.

This is typical in a new relationship. Feelings wont go away because you love someone else...it's hard to grasp. I found that it was the possiblilty that my partner had the same wandering feelings - even tho I was sure he wouldnt act on them, that I was really having a problem with. Talking about it helped alot.

If it's only in your head, it's not cheating, sweetheart!

This always happens...in my last very serious relationship (2 years of cohabitation and marital misery), these feelings NEVER went away, and I ended up sleeping with half of San Francisco. (Of course, he was also evil and I couldn't stand him.)

It's been nearly a year, and I'm just now starting to get antsy...I'm sure I'll get it under control, and I'm sure there are tons of reasons. (He's been incredibly busy with his job lately, and he is always exhausted and doesn't ever want to get it on, so I'm sure that has something to do with it...). It's like I've just totally given up on the idea of gettin' a piece right now...that's fine.

What really disturbs me the most is this sudden onset of guilt...is this what it's like when 26 years of not having any catches up? :-P

Ach...anyway, who cares? This is dull.

Let's talk about Y'ALL.

And my upcoming birthday. I confess that I have no plans yet.

You just think of them as ex's, even if they aren't yet. They're going to be, so it's not cheating.
