I responded to your original post because I felt that you really insulted millions of people and pointed out that people from those states (including NC) came to help your state (NY) in time of need.

I guess I will tell my wife who is clinical nurse supervisor at large hospital and her life is on the line with this situation she does not matter because she lives in NC. I guess I will tell my nephew who teaches special needs kids in Charlotte NC, he does not matter. One of the guys I play tennis with is a policeman in Charlotte NC, guess he does not matter either. Yes, I have been married happily for 33 years and counting. You have no idea if I am white or registered Republican. My views on this board are not one who is a Democrat but I could very easily be like many others and registered as a Independent. Yes, I have voted for a Democrat for POTUS in my lifetime.

ALL States matter.

When I joined the military during the Vietnam War, I swore an oath to "Protect and defend the Constitution of the United States". I wasn't offered the option to pick and choose which of those States I would or would not protect and defend. We are a Union, and we fought a Civil War to preserve that Union. I am proud to be a citizen of the United States, and I cherish each and every one of those States.

Except they do. They may be ignorant, belligerent, insufferable rashes, who don't know when they are being lied to and manipulated, but they are your fellow citizens and they matter. Don't expect u to like it One of the worst,stupidest things Miss Hillary ever said was calling them deplorables. They may very well be but u don't gain any currency by saying it out loud. They are angry, scared, confused and clutching at things that seem to make them feel better. It's their coping mechanism. An ineffective one but it's theirs.

Trumps hardcorebase- nothing will matter to them. But there r others on the border and I believe they can be changed, and that's who you try for.
