“It’s a hard call, a personal call,” she said. “You have to decide which soul you want to feed.”
I know which wallet I'm not going to feed.
I got a response, but deleted it. It was the same crap statement they released to the press about respecting all their customers.
Are they in New Jersey? I've never been to one, and honestly never come across one north of the Mason Dixon Line (and I'm not being sarcastic, either).

There are two near me. One in Hamilton, NJ which is a stand alone restaurant and another in Lawrenceville, NJ which is in a mall.
ETA: According to their website there are also locations in Paramus, Woodbridge, & Menlo Park

A Facebook friend of mine posted this -
Is really tired of hearing things like "This "Xx" restaurant donated sandwiches to an organization that is anti gay marriage. We must boycott them forever until they bend to our will.
That must be some good chicken. I don't eat chicken, so this is pretty much a non-issue for me.
Sounds like you have a friend who doesn't care how others are treated.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what the point he's trying to make is.

They are rolling out in urban Chicago- Wabash & Chicago is the first city store with Water Tower Place immediately after. The thing is, it's a fricking chicken sandwich. That's all it is.

It's a sanctified chicken sandwich, thank you very much.
"Are they in New Jersey?"
I was, unfortunately, in the Monmouth mall this weekend and yes, there they are in the food court. I should've bought a feather boa and applied for a job.
Oh, this is rich.
so, my Grandfather is a deeply religios man - he's a traveling evangelist (lucky Me) and he runs a ministry in Georgia, from where he sends out mass emails sporatically, mostly once a month or once a week, depending on how much good stuff God has done for him in his life. Most of the time (always, actually), I skim the emails for family news, and delete them, not giving them a second thought. As Bill Maher said, "this kind of bigotry and racism will have to die out with the generation" Anyway this is an exerpted paragraph from an email I got only moments ago:
"This afternoon I did something else that has gotten some notice. I learned about the boycott of Chick-fil-a called for by the lesbian/gay alliance because one of their restaurants provided food for a Pro-Family meeting in Pennsylvania. Already a major college had dropped the company from their vendors because of student pressure. That was too much for me. I read the attached paper to my staff yesterday during chapel and today I took the entire staff to lunch at Chick-fil-a in support of that company's pro-Christian values. I also drew up the Declaration (attached) and we filled it with signatures, presenting it to the manager. Ruby* and I decided it was worth the personal investment we made (we paid for everyone's lunch) in order to make the statement. Perhaps some of you might feel the same."

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light
for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight . . . Which justify the wicked for
reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! (Isaiah 5:20 – 23)
This past week Chick-fil-A provided food for a Pro-Family Seminar being held in several
churches in Pennsylvania.
As the Company has often done, it was a gesture of good will and support for a very righteous cause – one which, until the last decade would readily have received the
support of every good American. After all, what could be more American than the traditional family?
The Seminar was held in conjunction with The World Congress of Families, founded in 1997, which is an international network of pro-family organizations, scholars, leaders
and concerned people from more than 60 countries that seek to restore the natural family as the fundamental social unit and of civil society. It was co-sponsored by The
Pennsylvania Family Institute.
But this past week Gay advocates called for a boycott of the Chick-fil-a, claiming that providing food for the Seminar was tantamount to endorsing its agenda and an offence
to the so-called Gay community. It appears that supporting something as basic as a traditional family, is no longer “politically correct.”
Chick-fil-A has said “Providing food to this event or any event is not an endorsement of the mission, political stance or motives of this or any other organization,” (Dan T. Cathy,
Company President).
The Pennsylvania Family Institute’s president also told The Christian Post on Jan. 5
that the involved Pennsylvania Chick-fil-A branches were simply trying to "be good neighbors" to the two local churches hosting the Art of Marriage seminars, not politically
endorse them.
Still, thousands have listened to gay advocates’ call for protest. Their petition to boycott
has over 25,000 signatures as of Feb. 1. Plans to boycott the chain have reached the Chick-fil-A Facebook page where a commenter wrote, “I'm pledging to boycott my
beloved Chick-fil-A until they stop fighting gay marriage.”
Just last week, a student movement led Indiana University to cut the chicken sandwich fast food chain from its list of retailers. Another student movement is working to do the
same thing at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Focus on the Family’s Jim Daly said the demonizing of Chick-fil-A is part of an “ominous trend for those who support traditional Biblical principles. Chick-fil-A’s
strong support for heterosexual marriage is a worthwhile cause and should be not be controversial at all.”
In light of all of this, I do not believe that this is a time for Christians and Churches to keep silent. If the Radical Gay agenda can intimidate us into silence at a time like this
and on an issue that, to me, clearly deserves our support, then we will have given up too much ground to ever make our voices heard again.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, put it well. He said, “First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade
Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.”
Chick-fil-a has never contributed funds to me but I believe that its Christian principles and its support for the Biblical family are worth supporting.
Therefore I am planning to eat my lunch at Chick-fil-a and, as soon as I can arrange it, I am inviting all of you to join me at my personal expense. Ruby and I have agreed that we
want to make this personal investment in this cause.
Furthermore, I am calling upon the churches of Georgia to take similar action. I call upon every person who believes that the Biblical Family is worth taking sides for, to find
creative ways to, in as pubic a manner as possible, support this Company that is under so much pressure.
This is not a demonstration against anyone – it is rather exercising our freedom to say to the owners and management of Chick-fil-a, we will support you and stand with
you because we believe in your right to support a good and worthy cause without being penalized by a vocal minority, and we will not be intimidated to silence by the
consequences our actions might bring.
When asked if he would prefer the company would be in the news for other things, Dan Cathy said he welcomed the discussion of marriage. He said of the recent controversy. "We intend to stay the course. . . We don't mind being in the news for this."'
att. 2
DECLARATION
We, the undersigned, want to express both our gratitude for and our support of the basic family values unapologetically supported by the corporate
leadership of Chick-fil-a. That such support should be questioned, much less actively opposed, is beyond our understanding and more than we can condone
or overlook.
Therefore, we as concerned Christians want to exercise our freedom to say to the owners and management of Chick-fil-a, we will support you and stand
with you because we believe in your right to support a good and worthy cause without being penalized by a vocal minority, and we will not be intimidated
to silence by the consequences which our action to support you might bring within this present environment. We believe that Christian principles and the Biblical family are values worth supporting.
I love being related to bigots. No really. LOVE IT.
my favorite part of that is the hypocracy of the Dietrich Bonhoeffer quote, wherein you can substitate "gay" for any of those other things, but they don't see it that way, and never will.

When two Missouri organizations, the Clayton Chamber of Commerce and FOCUS St. Louis, decided earlier this month to cancel a presentation by Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy over his company's controversial affiliations, they made the right decision. Although Cathy has unequivocally denied being anti-LGBT and claimed that he and the company have "no agenda against anyone" and "will not champion any political agendas on marriage and family," Equality Matters research proves just the opposite. In fact, the company has strong, deep ties to anti-gay organizations like Focus on the Family and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and its charitable division has provided more than $1.1 million to organizations that deliver anti-LGBT messages and promote egregious practices like reparative therapy that seek to "free" people of being gay.

All this over a dry chicken sandwich I've never bought in the first place.
Y'all can come over to my place and I'll make schnitzel, the original fried chicken breast!
