^ Totally agree there. I find it hilarious how she is always introduced as a Teen Activist. For what? Just to make a PSA about abstinence, and nothing else? At least I don't think Bristol is going all over talking to teens about pregnancy.

Actually- she has been getting paid quite well to speak to teens. How can she relate to their struggles when she obviously is not? She has made money from speaking, selling her photos to tabloids, going on Secret Life and now Dancing with the Stars. All of this is easy money that has not required an education or talent. It's totally disgusting!

DWTS Cast

Okay, I guess I forgot about that. But, it still doesn't mean she is a celebrity at all. There are lots of people who go around giving talks who do not get ridiculously famous.

Of course there are Marianne! The producers actually asked Todd Palin and he turned them down. They wanted Sarah Palin but looks like they settled for whichever Palin they could get. The show should be called "Dancing with Anyone Who Has Ever Been Seen on TV for Any Reason" Akso, I think some "celebrities" are voted on or off because of the pros they are paired with. Some people think Derek doesn't deserve to win because he always gets good partners. I guess they don't think that maybe he's just a really good teacher and choreographer!

Well, you'll not find a bigger fan of Derek Hough than me, but the truth is, he has a professional dancer as his partner, this season. She is a trained dancer, who has been hired and paid in the past, because of her dance skills. I find her participation on the show, fairly ridiculous. I also find her a bit smug, and a drama queen. I'd kind of like to see her get the boot.

DWTS Cast

There have been many trained dancers on the show- Trista Renn- or however you spell it, Jane Seymour, Nicole Scherzinger, Melissa Rycroft, Shawn Johnson (gymnasts get dance training too), Kristi Yamaguchi (figure skaters get dance training). I'm sure there are tons more. The competition will never be fair when you use celebrities because they will not be on the same playing field. Even athletes have advantages because they have discipline and stamina. Personally- it's not fun for me to watch bad dancers. It's also not fun for me to watch celebrities who are not famous for any talent or hard work ethic. Jennifer Grey has been in this business for years but she is not famous for being a dancer- she's an actor and I think she's doing great for a 50 year old who has had multiple medical issues. I can see where she can come off smug but at least she is working hard and trying. I think she deserves to be in the finals. :)

DWTS Cast

Oh, I agree. I'd much rather watch good dancing over bad, which is why I prefer So You Think You Can Dance? Regardless of others with dance training, she's still the only person who's ever been hired for a job, because of her dance training. I do think a line should be drawn, somewhere. I had no opinion of her, until this show, and I don't like her. But, I'm sure she'll be in the finals, and probably win it!

Wasn't Melissa Rycroft a professional cheerleader? You don't think she was hired for that job (at least in part) because of her dance training? Sure, looks play a huge part in cheerleading, but it also takes skill. Same for Nicole Scherzinger; you can't really say her dance training didn't play a part in her getting "cast" so to speak in The Pussycat Dolls. Yes, Jennifer Grey's professional trajectory as a dancer might be a little bit more "traditional" or whatever you want to call it, but she's not the only contestant who has gotten work because of her dance background.

Anyway, even if she comes off a bit difficult at times, I love watching her dance, and I hope she wins.

Tonight's episode was semi odd. I really thought the judges over-scored Rick Fox. He was boring. And I swear there was a conspiracy for Bristol to not look stupid, which is why she had the Tango and everyone else but Brandy had the Paso Doble. I wouldn't have thought that, if it was split evenly, or as best as possible. But, it wasn't. The Tango is a safer dance because you have to stay connected to your partner. Granted, she wasn't bad, but something just screamed odd to me.

Bristol is clearly being graded on a curve.

Yeah- it's kinda hard to forget the steps to the Tango when your partner is holding you up. Bristol was still vacant as was- and always will be- Audrina! The Paso is much harder than the Tango- at least the dumbed down version that Bristol did!

DWTS Cast

Audrina just has no personality. She was the same way on the Hills, so it doesn't surprise me at all. Such a shame because she is a good dancer, but that definitely ruins it.

What was with the top 10 audience vote? The 50's paso was number 4 to that hot mess of a country western sh*t pile from Drew Lachey? WTF?

^ I actually really liked Drew and Cheryl's freestyle. It is my all time favorite one. So no, I am not mad about it being #1. But, is it just me, or does it seem as though Cheryl looked a lot older when she first came on the show as opposed to now?

The thing about the Drew Lachey dance is that it was such a tremendous leap, from Season 1, in terms of quality and difficulty, it left an impression with viewers. I agree, though, that it's not even in the same league as Derek's paso.

DWTS Cast

I wouldn't be suprised if Jennifer goes home tonight. Last night was her weakest performance and her fans may automatically assume she's safe like what happened with sabrina Bryan in season 5. I'm really happy that Brandy is continuing to do well. In week 2 she gave a disappointing performance and I thought viewers weren't going to give her another chance. Boy I am glad that they did.
#143

DWTS Cast

I wish Brandy didn't have such a 'tude. And I also thought Derek and Jennifer should have won the marathon thing. Half of the time Maks was just carrying Brandy around flung over his shoulder, and the other half they were doing the same moves over and over.

Annoyed that Kurt and Bristol are still on. Who is voting for them? I figure Audrina got voted off based on her fanbase. But, at least I don't have to be bothered by her lack of personality anymore.

I think it's crazy that Audriana went home before Bristol and Kurt. She wasn't the best performer, but she was SO MUCH BETTER TECHNIALlY than thos two.

DWTS Cast

In honor of the 200th episode I thought I should rank the seasons from best to worst:

1. Season 8- Most talented group of contestants and the best final 3.

2. Season 10- Another very talented gorup of contestants and very solid final 3. The reason why I ranked season 8 higher was because this season was a little predictable.

3. Season 4- Apollo, Joey, and Laila were all amazing. Plus Julianne was introduced this season.

4. Season 6- It was obvious Kristi would win, but I still enjoyed it.

5. Season 3- Emmitt was an athlete I'd admired since I was a kid and it was cool to watch him dance.

6. Season 2- Very good season, but I would have ranked it higher if Jerry Rice did not get as far as he did.

7. Season 9- I did not mind this season as much as other people. I liked watching Donny, Mya, and Joanna

8. Season 5- I liked this season, but I felt Sabrina, Jenni, and Mel B. were all robbed.

9. Season 11- Even though the talent is lackluster I really enjoy watching Brandy and Jennifer.

10. Season 1- Although it was a great introduction to the show I did think it was ridiculous Kelly won.

11. Season 7- The cast barely had any talent. Brooke was the only one who could really dance

I actually think this season has been better than the past few. I think season 6, 7, and 9 were the biggest snoozefests ever.
