Regardless of others with dance training, she's still the only person who's ever been hired for a job, because of her dance training. Wasn't Melissa Rycroft a professional cheerleader? You don't think she was hired for that job (at least in part) because of her dance training? Sure, looks play a huge part in cheerleading, but it also takes skill. Same for Nicole Scherzinger; you can't really say her dance training didn't play a part in her getting "cast" so to speak in The Pussycat Dolls. Yes, Jennifer Grey's professional trajectory as a dancer might be a little bit more "traditional" or whatever you want to call it, but she's not the only contestant who has gotten work because of her dance background.
Anyway, even if she comes off a bit difficult at times, I love watching her dance, and I hope she wins.
A work of art is an invitation to love.
