He looks more like the UK cover Harry than the US cover Harry, which is exciting because the UK cover Harry is way hotter. Harry's getting hotter, yay!
Love the coloring of the sky, but I'm not sure how I feel about how stark it all is... it's like, Harry & Voldemort - DUH.

It's the US version. This is the UK version:

One: It's reallyl bright. Does that equal happy ending?
Two: See the like, CURTAINS to either side? IS THAT THE VEIL THAT SIRIUS FELL THROUGH?! Also, didn't they mention that the Ministry building is sort of like that arena idea they have going on? And the veil is in that arena room thing....

Posted: 3/28/07 at 1:42pmCall me a twelve-year old, but I am in love with Sirius and that would be so GREAT if he wasn't really dead!

Posted: 3/28/07 at 1:46pmI don't get the curtains either. It could almost be Voldemort directing Harry in an opera!

I showed my roommate the covers, and she said the UK one looks like something bad is happenning in Gringotts. Certainly seems possible.
I wish the US one had more clues (like the book 4 cover).

I agree. I think the US covers are a heck of a lot more appealing then the UK ones. The UK looks like some sort of weird, cheesy spinoff.
What is he holding his hand up for?

Voldemort:
Look at him, Perfect for an Opera!

Posted: 3/28/07 at 8:04pmProbably the locket (one of the Horcruxes). I think it is safe to assume that Harry will have to access deeper parts of his magic in order to beat Voldemort (IE Wandless Magic), which could explain the hands.

Dude, am I the only one who sees the goblin thing with his arm on Harry's back and the *raised sword*???
On the U.K. cover, that is.

No, look behind Harry, there's a goblin head.
Well, that was my other thought, Spidey.

Posted: 3/28/07 at 9:42pmI don't see a goblin's head. I just see his hand on Harry's sholder. and if that's a goblin holding the sword then where the hell is Ron's other arm and why does Harry have that look on his face?
#21re: 'Deathly Hallows' Cover Art Released
Posted: 3/28/07 at 9:47pmThe thing around Harry's neck is a locket with the letter S on it....

Ok, look at the space right over Harry's shoulder. There is the top of a head and some very pointy ears. Plus, that arm is too spindly to be Ron's.
Are you sure about the locket? I mean, I know that's what's on the UK adult cover, but I couldn't make out anything on the US one.
