Just because she said that doesn't mean she won't be dead, though. I hope she isn't. They might need her for the first episode.

Susan's wedding was simple, nice, and all that cr*p, but they did the same thing on the two-part season finale of "How I Met Your Mother" this year. I first saw this done on "Mad About You" many years ago. I am sure it has been done other times as well.
first off, you cannot get pregnant from a kiss as far as i know. and we already know that gabby and carlos cannot make a baby together, so...
It's a soap opera. Anything is possible.
i really wish i had known it was a soap opera before i started watching it three years ago. it would have saved me some time!
Pay attention! Mary Alice said in her monalogue at the beginning of the first show, "This is a soap opera, anything is possible."
was that the original pilot or the one that actually aired?
It was the one where Bob Newhart and Bobby Ewing realized that it was all a dream.
Polly Bergen hit it out of the park.
Huffman rarely, if ever, has an actor to play off that matches her. Bergen really gave Huffman a run for her money.
Hope we see more of Bergen.
i think we need an episode of this show with polly bergen, carol burnett, joyce van patten and dixie carter. imagine the fireworks!
and, hey, why not throw in a little bob newhart for some comic relief!
Lovin' that idea RobbO
But don't forget Lesley Ann Warren.
Personally, I think Annie Magnuson should join the cast. She is delish. Why wasn't she cast in the first place. She can replace Edie.
i was thinking about adding lesley to the mix, but i don't know if she could keep up with those legends!
Didn't Lesley guest star as Susan's mother? Didn't Bob Newhart also appear that same season?
all of the people i mentioned have appeared on the show.
I want Elaine Stritch on this show, damn it. She's so perfect.
LOL, Elaine Stritch was already great in 30 ROCK. One can't get enough of her though so I'd love to see her in the show. She would've made a great Mrs.McClausky.
Polly Bergen stole the show in the season finale. I really loved Huffman during her argument with her. Unfortunately, the choices they made for her character this season were incredibly boring. Why did they take her out of the corporate world? It was so intriguing to see her handle the housewife role and the businesswoman role.
Eva Longoria is continuously becoming my only reason to watch this show. Her comic timing, her great expressions, and the way she just owns her character are delicious. Luckily hers is the only character they haven't screwed up so far, IMO. I think she had sex with Carlos though, it didn't seem to be just a kiss.
The whole Bree pregnancy should have been done in a more satiric way than a big mystery, that's what used to make this show so much fun to watch. It was so obvious that it could be funny instead of soap opera-ish.
And the big question is, did they kill off Nicolette Sheridan? They already had a major death at the end of the first season. I wonder if Sheridan will be the new narrator...I'm not a fan of the idea but I don't want her gone from the show. For the first time in the show, they gave her actual substance during this season.
All in all, an okay finale, not great though. The ending was shocking indeed.
Well, I say the two strongest acting moments this season were from Huffman. The supermarket episode - and the the episode before the finale where she cries in the bathroom about Rick.
She's an amazing actress.
I want to see Elaine as a crazy grandma or someone. I think Mike or something could still have a grandma.

Over here(the UK) there was an article in one of the papers today saying that Nicole Sherridan would only be in the beginning of episode 1 in the new season and her contract had not been renewed, she was apparently upset by the decision but understood.
The article also said that Laura Leighton(sydney on melrose place) would be a new character on the show and that the producers also wanted to land Heather Locklear for the show.
It just made me giggle thinking thats Doug Savant, Marcia Cross ,Laura Leighton and Heather all from melrose place (maybe they will build an apartment block in wisteria lane? lol
I think Laura Leighton is coming on as Edie's sister after she dies, she's the new tramp on Wisteria Lane.
Could that make her Austin's mom?

Heather and Laura would be great but we need Doctor Michael Mancini. Maybe Bree could go psycho again and hold everyone hostage in the crazy house.
Ljay, how could I forget about the supermarket episode? I actually think that is one of the top three episodes in the whole show. It was so well-constructed, well-acted, well-written. It epitomized what the show is, a satire about the pressures of being a housewife in America with its comic moments and its dramatic moments. It was awesome. And I agree, Huffman's acting in that episode was brilliant. Truth is, Huffman's acting has always been impeccable, it's the material that loses its steam at times.
I think it's kinda sad that they let Edie die like that. She always was the survivor in Wisteria Lane, I found her actions a little out of character.
I really hope they don't make this show the new Melrose Place, we don't need anyone dying and having a brain replacement or anything of that sorts.
the only reason nicolette received more screentime this year was because marcia cross was on maternity leave. her expanded role in the show only showed how weak of a link she is in the cast, and best used sparingly for a quip here or there rather than scenes with actual substance.
her crying out for carlos at the wedding was laughable and poorly acted.
and speaking of wtf moments, what was the whole point of the lame mrs. mccluskey story arc that was wrapped up in two episodes? was it just screen filler? i cannot wait untill we find out that ida has a heroin problem but gets clean in a matter of hours...
LOL, that was pretty funny, Robbo. I agree, the whole Mrs.McClausky storyline was so pointless, seems like someone wanted to go somewhere with it but the idea was nixed once they started developing it. It made absolutely no sense.
I agree that her acting at the wedding was rather poor, however, she's had some really strong moments. While she's indeed a supporting character--not a lead like they tried to make her this season due to Cross' pregnancy, I thought her character always worked as a nice foil to the rest of the housewives. I wish we had seen more of her, but oh well.
