This poor family ... First Whitney, then her daughter, and now her aunt.

Is it bad karma to point out the bad karma of starting an AIDS foundation and keeping all the money?
That family needs to stay out of the bathroom.
Namo.. are you referring to when she was doing all these charity concerts and pocketing all the money? Or were there other incidents?
Let's not forget Aretha's fall (Not family exactly, but close). Hate to say this but i could not resist- Neither her nor her friends at the psychic network saw this coming?
I used to be a fan, but watching her on Celebrity Apprentice I saw a mean, evil, self centered BITCH.
SORRY.
She's a nasty piece of work.
Ditto that, Jane!
Yeah, I still LOVE Dionne's 60s recordings produced by Bacharach, but at some point she really lost it. I remember 5 or so years ago she was on CNN and someone asked her if she still smoked several packs a day and didn't it affect her voice She answered yes (which is fine--I have no issue with people smoking,) and then got all defensive saying the minute the smoking affected her voice she would stop. Umm has she compared her voice from the 60s (and her range) to her voice and range in the 80s and even more so now? That's not just aging, Dionne...
I once saw Dionne perform with a symphony orchestra in a sweatshirt, sweatpants, keds and a knit cap. She said the plane was late, she didn't have time to change and preferred not to hold the audience up.
Part of though she lied just because she didn't want to change.
She sounded like **** too.
All that being said, I send the family love. It's terrible.
I saw Ms Warwick in her prime and she was glorious---a few years ago she was disrespectful of her audience, raced through her set then walked of not even bothering to return. If I could use the F and C words--I would..
Don't know anything about all the other stuff on here but it all comes around to bite you ON the bum !

I do find this video kinda hilarious--it's from an anti-smoking-discrimination group. Proving that it hasn't affected her voice. If I didn't make it clear above, I do now--I am a regular, two pack a week smoker--I'm not proud of it but I'm also fine with it. But this video is hilarious--because she has NEVER sounded like this in the past twenty+ years except in this recorded concert--and when I used to belong to her fan group (OK, maybe I should be less proud about that...) many people commented on it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29TiS2E2g4k
And with all of this crap going on with this talented family, I feel like I need to post some of the great Dionne moments. She really was incredible--her delivery of a song was amazing back in the 60s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO073fekFfA
Hal David's song about his son's enlisting in Vietnam:

And unfortunately I can't find my fave hungover song from her and Bacharach/David, Check Out Time which was too controversial to be a single back in the late 60s. But I like this male cover https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lxHHRsvbZA
But (as I continue my ramble based on poor Dionne's shower slip) this is still the ultimate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMsiGMKHJ8k
Just brilliant.
Dionne Warwick at the height of her fame was not just a singer, she was a song stylist in that she really did act out her songs. Her diction was flawless, she was one of the iconic voices of the 1960's through her work with Bacharach and David no one is gonna be able to argue with that...BUT she really is a nasty piece of work. She easily gets bent out of shape when someone even dares cover one of her songs, although I've never heard her say anything derogatory about Aretha's cover of "I Say A Little Prayer"...but she hasn't said many nice things about others who have covered her Bacharach/David material.
She also needs to stop taking credit for "What The World Needs Now Is Love"...that song was recorded first and will always "belong" to Miss Jackie De Shannon.
I have to echo some of what's already been said. I used to think her voice was magical. I'll Never Love This Way Again will probably always be one of my all time favorite songs. There was a special in the 80s called Sisters in the Name of Love with Dionne, Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight. I watched that obsessively. I remember that Dionne was my least favorite of the three, but as a whole, I thought it was fantastic. Then I saw her on The Apprentice and realized how she truly was. What a nightmare.
Aint nobody got time for that!
^ Okay that video had me LMAO!!! Dionne has what we call in the industry a "Resting Bitch Face"
One of my favorite things ever communicated was in that clip.
MM: I respect her. People tell me she's a legend, but I just don't...
DT: People tell you? You don't know that she's a legend?
MM: Well, I'm deaf...
