Oh. I have no idea if any of that kind of thing has happened here. But I'm pretty oblivious to a lot of happenings on the board, so I'm not a good source for that kind of information.

has anyone been banned from bww.com (both boards) for engaging in behavior in any way related to untoward actions (sexually or otherwise) to an underage poster?

if so please list their screennames here along with the screennames of their acccusers and any pertinent posts and or pms that we forwarded to any of you in the evolution of any of these cases.

in fact, please list any and all cases of reports of suspicious activity related to underaged posters, the screennames of those alleged to have witnessed such activity and the screennames of all those involved.

as well, please list the sexes of all posters involved in any way shape or form with any of the above cases, if any such cases do in fact exist.

if any legal action has been taken please release any and all pertinent documentation not currently subject to any legal gag orders.

in fact, please release any and all personal data that you have accumulated about any and all members of this site so that we may conduct our own investigations.

Thanks to Priest, Emcee, Plum and others for their thoughts. I really have very little to add to what you've said except this: If there WAS an Adults Only board, how long would it take before the over-eighteen population had completely migrated to that area of bww? Is it fair to leave everyone who can't vote in a world of Wickedites? Surely even the few with the intent of still posting here would get sick of splitting their time and become tired of wading through useless muppet posts to find the worthwhile ones. I imagine we'd end up with BWW:Minors and BWW: Adults and that BWW: Minors would be full of insipid and ignorant posts and the literate among us would become frustrated very quickly. Is it fair to cut us off from intelligent conversation?

Someone also mentioned that the Adults wanted a place to discuss shows besides Rent, Wicked, Q, ect. Why can't you do it here? The presence of threads concerning these shows doesn't impair you from posting about an overlooked show and people like myself who really aren't sure how to begin exploring classical broadway have a place to lurk and learn. If the Adults had somewhere else to go, the minors wouldn't have anywhere to learn.

That's my argument against what's been 'written on the lines'. As for what's between them- why are you so concerned about exposing teens to photos like those of the 'muy angry' thread or sexual banter? You might be suprised at just how much of that comes from the minors anyway. Not that I know any, of course.
