Posted: 9/18/11 at 8:59pmI was thinking the same thing re: Melissa and Bridesmaids, but I don't begrudge her win - love her, and she's adorable as ever in Mike and Molly. And it's nice to see the award go to a traditional sitcom again.

The Best Actress "pageant" bit was hilarious, and Melissa's acceptance speech was adorable!
Does anyone know the announcer is tonight? He sounds familiar.

Posted: 9/18/11 at 9:11pmI was hoping for "So You Think You Can Dance" to win Best Reality Competition, but good for "The Amazing Race." It deserved to win this year. The fall 2010 and spring 2011 seasons helped the show get back on track. The reason why it didn't win at the 62nd Emmys last year was because the fall 2009 and spring 2010 seasons was bad. They were both filled with unlikable teams and ugly behavior. I'm glad it won this year.

WTF was that musical number?
I don't even know how to describe it, other than to say I wondered if I took drugs during the commercial break.

Montage of SNL moneymaker Lonely Island performing all of their musical numbers form this year.
So happy for Jason Katims winning for Friday Night Lights. Finally got recognized for their excellent writing even when 'The Suitcase' episode on Mad Men was a genius bottle episode.
So friggin happy for Margo Martindale.

Posted: 9/18/11 at 9:41pmI haven't been getting all of the Jim Parsons love that has been going on lately. He's talented, but I'm just not a fan.

Tyrion Lannister!
I am surprised everybody in the upthread had Slattery. Even as a Mad Men fan, I thought both he and Christina Hendricks had an awful break from the writers with their characters.

There's something very odd about Katie Holmes head and neck...
And some very intersting outfits going on. Alan Cumming's trousers are a sight to see!

"Jon Hamm was robbed. AGAIN."
Not when Cranston and Chandler were in his category for the last four years. Last season was definitely his best work but Chandler deserved this for the last five seasons of FNL. Shame Connie Britton could not get a statuette too.
