Sorry, not on board with either shows. Especially the overrated, overacted, hick soap opera. And there's no way Cranston deserved the award three years running.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

What the show needs is Gordon Ramsey coming in & yelling at everyone to "Piss Off".

Wow FNL is so NOT an overrated or overacted "hick" soap opera. If anything it was under-appreciated and underrated. Kyle Chandler's win was LONG OVERDUE and I am glad he won. RICHLY DESERVED!!!

Congrats, Maggie! No surprise but thoroughly deserved. Two Emmys and two Oscars.

Nice to see that Jeremy Piven's "sushi consumption" didn't prevent him from attending the Emmys.

Thank you! It is a beautifully written and acted family show. Any soapy-ness came and left after the second season. Honestly if that is considered a soap opera than every drama on TV, including Mad Men, is a soap opera.

I agree with AC1 about Friday Night Lights and think "overacted hick soap opera" is an apt description.

I've seen drag queens on Christopher Street exhibit more subtlety than Connie Britton on any given episode of FNL.

This entire show has been one gigantic steaming pile of s#!t. Seriously, is this really the best they can do? What a complete embarrassment for all involved.

First time in three years there hasn't been a Golden Girl in the memoriam. May Betty be sitting in the audience for many more ceremonies to come!

You're both certainly entitled to your opinion but I find it offensive the unfortunate use of the word "hick" in AC1's assessment of the show. It's unnecessary and derogatory.

I don't think "hick" is any more offensive than any other term used to describe regionality.

I can't wait for Kate Winslet to come to Broadway and complete her EGOT.

Maggie won too in a supporting category and naturally, the cast of Entourage accepted on her behalf.

And so did Maggie Smith for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Miniseries for "Downton Abbey".

Mad Men. Again. I think that show is so overrated.

I know it gets boring when Mad Men keeps on winning but they deserved it for this season (season 3, not so much). I just wish the show got honored for acting once in a while.

I think Game of Thrones spoiled it for Boardwalk Empire in winning. HBO usually never has two shows going up against each other in drama. I mean, you never saw The Wire against The Sopranos.

And Modern Family wins.

I thought Boardwalk Empire was a great concept that failed in execution. It's beautiful to look at and the premise should be thrilling, but it's deathly boring.
