Pity the upsets couldn't last till the end - I agree with you AC, but I still would've liked to see Boardwalk win. Perhaps the pace will be quicker in season 2.

Game of Thrones was sort of the same thing in terms of ambition but better execution. I think it got a lot more attention than HBO expected for a 'genre' show in terms of critical notice.

I would've been happy if "Modern Family" or "Parks & Recreation" won. "Modern Family" also should've won at the Golden Globes and Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara should have as well that night. It's just that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association are Giant Gleeks.

My problem with Mad Men is that it's just so boring. Entire episodes have been nothing more than a bunch of people sitting around and talking. I've tried to get into it repeatedly and can barely stay awake. I spent an entire episode wishing Zoey Bartlett's last TV "dad" would show up to the firm to make things more interesting by declaring it Big Block of Cheese Day.

The evening gave me one really good laugh, thanks to Ms. Lynch -

Full disclosure: I had Melissa McCarthy as my "should win" but took it off - I never thought the show had enough Emmy attention for a win. She's genius on that show - but I'm also the only one I know that watches it.

I really wish Elisabeth Moss had won for Best Actress. I haven't not seen The Good Wife, and while I've read that Marguiles is great on it, I feel that Moss has been doing some really incredibly underrated work on Mad Men. Her acting in "The Suitcase", the episode she submitted, was absolutely brilliant.

However, thrilled for Julie Bowen's win, though I would have been equally happy with Sofia Vergara.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Peggy Olsen's the most interesting character on Mad Men not named Don Draper in my opinion. Don's up and down trajectory is going to have plateau or just end at some point, but Peggy's progression is fascinating especially when the theme of this show is that a lot of these characters can never really change. Moss really made a turn from naive secretary in the early seasons to the only person with an idea in the room which never jumped too quickly from one to the other. I hope her work on the show gets rewarded at some point.

I have never seen Mad Men . I stopped watching AMC when they went to commercials

Pepper was great in the HBO movie "61" where he played Roger Maris

I was thrilled with Kyle Chandler's win for his work on Friday Night Lights. Long overdue.

I wish there could have been a tie for Leading Actress in a Drama Series. Julianna Margulies' win for The Good Wife was well deserved. Her work on that show is truly outstanding. I just wish that Connie Britton could have been awarded too for her work on Friday Night Lights.

I was also happy for Ty Burrell's win for Modern Family.

I wasn't upset by Julie Bowen's win for Modern Family but I would have given it to Sofia Vergara.

OK - there wer ejokes about Auto-Tune and lip-synching in the opening number, but was that actually Jane Lynch singing? Were certain high notes dubbed?

Couldn't be happier that Kyle Chandler finally was recognized for his outstanding and underrated work on Friday Night Lights. Also thrilled to see Julianna Margulies win for what I think is the best female character on TV now. I too find Mad Men a bit boring and would have rather seen The Good Wife take home best drama. Same goes for the drama supporting actor- would have loved Josh Charles or Alan Cumming. Delighted to see Melissa McCarthy win- I've been a fan of hers since Gilmore Girls!

I'm beside myself for the Friday Night Lights wins, though Connie Britton really should have been added to that list. I love Marguiles in The Good Wife, but Britton has delivered amazing performances in Friday Night Lights for years. She and Chandler make that show work and their chemistry is perfect. I couldn't imagine awarding one without the other because they are almost one character. At least the show got to end with 2 more Emmy wins in its pocket. It truly deserved more.

Shocked that McCarthy won; love her, hate her show. The pageant bit was very clever. Same with Chadler, like him, his show not so much. Very pleased that Downton Abbey and Maggie Smith won. Found most of the show boring and predictable, though Lynch did about as well as she could.

I thought Vergara and Plimpton were the best dressed.

I'm thrilled that Marguiles won, but she gave such a Hilary Swank-esque overly prepared and not all emotional speech.

I really don't care that speeches seem rehearsed. You have a 1/6 chance of winning; you should think about what you want to say in advance. Otherwise you end up sounding like Forest Whitacker at the Golden Globes. Ummm....Ummm....

My mom and I don't understood why the Emmys never awarded Steve Carell for his work. I guess the people who voted thought that if they gave him the Emmy this year viewers would've thought that it would only have been because it was his last season. They may also have thought that the viewers would think that they didn't base their votes on acting.

I will truly never understand why I am always out of step with everyone else. I thought the show was great. I thought Jane Lynch was a great host, I thought most of the things that were supposed be funny WERE funny and I thought things moved along at a brisk pace.

We seem to be in a minority. Maybe not so much here, but almost every roundup I've read today has been a complainfest.

Oddly, I've see both "Best Emmys ever" and "worst Emmys Ever" reviews today. It certainly had moments of both- did the Emmytones or whatever they called the faux jazz vocal group ever do anything?

I agreed with one reviewer who said "Having Joel McHale as part of a vocal ensemble is like pissing in a bidet. You simple do not understand how to use it."

Another good little chuckle I got was seeing Brian Grazer in the audience and thinking he looked exactly like Joe's current avatar.

The weird thing to me Phyllis was that the ensemble was semi-famous people- McHale, Wilber Baldarama. That woman from that show. Whoozis. And they kept putting up their names. But it was like a set up for a joke that never happened- unless it was after I gave up.
