Parks and Recreation.
Cat Deeley.
Ed O'Neill.
it's about time.
I would have liked to see The Big C better represented. Hickey and especially Somerville deserved supporting nominations. And when will people recognize how brilliant Merritt Wever is on Nurse Jackie? Nice to see Kathy Bates up for Best Actress though. And that Ed O'Neill wasn't erroneously ignored again.
I'm sad that Sara Ramirez got overlooked again, but it doesn't surprise me anymore.

O'Malley is a series regular now. I'm sure he was considered in the Supporting Actor category.
Yay Timothy Olyphant!
Boo Chris Colfer! ('m not a Glee hater, but this kid is like nails on a chalkboard to me)
So glad for Cat Deeley! It was cute how Jesse mentioned her being overlooked before on SYTYCD last nite.
Big happiness that Martha Plimpton got a nom!! So deserved.
Not sure why Cloris Leachman was nom'd for guest actress tho. She's a regular cast member.
Confounded by Nathan Lane's nom for his guest role on Modern Family.
It would make me so happy to see Steve Carrell finally take home a statuette.
I'm kind of surprised Michael Shannon wasn't nominated for Boardwalk Empire.
So happy to see Laura Linney nominated, and I'd say she has a very strong chance of winning - but yes, The Big C deserved more, particularly John Benjamin Hickey.
Sad to see Patricia Arquette overlooked again for Medium, it's a pity that once buzz dies down for a show that quality performances are often forgotten. She was incredible - better than when she actually won for season 1.
Very happy Modern Family had such a strong showing - that show deserves everything it gets (OK, except for the weird Nathan Lane nomination).
Also glad Game of Thrones got a nomination and SO rooting for Peter Dinkelage as Tyrion! Disappointed Sean Bean didn't get a nomination.
Glad to see Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler recognized once again for their outstanding work on Friday Night Lights.
I'm hoping this is Julianna Margulies' year to win for The Good Wife. How she hasn't won for her work on that show yet when she has won every other award you can be nominated for is beyond me.

Sara Ramirez never had a chance. Grey's Anatomy is more like a soap opera at this point. It can't compete with the better dramas, especially those on pay cable. They have shorter seasons, better budgets, better actors and are written start to finish each season. Grey's is unbalanced and poorly written. They REALLY need to end it this season. Loretta Divine got a nomination, which is awesome.
I was happy to see Game of Thrones all over the place and super happy that Peter Dinklage got a nom!

Wow - the ENTIRE adult cast of Modern Family!
Best Drama - only ONE broadcast network show nominated.
I would love to see Dot Marie Jones win Geust Actress for Glee, but those awards usually go to a "star" name, so I expect Gwyneth Paltrow or Cloris Leachman to win.
I fear the men of Modern Family may cancel each other out, but I really hope Ed O'Neill wins. He's a very underrated actor.
ABC--Anybody But Colfer. Or Anybody But Cryer. It works both ways.

Doodle, Leachman is considered a guest star. She's not in it (and not billed) every week. I would have thought Plimpton would have gotten supporting, but I'm glad to see her nominated either way. The fact that Community got no major nominations is criminal.
I agree with Phyllis, Community totally deserves noms! Joel McHale & Donald Glover at the very least.
While I would have liked to see some love for Community, I kind of expected this. I love seeing that Martha Plimpton and Cloris Leachman got their well-deserved nominations. Can't really describe how happy I am that Mireille Enos and Michelle Forbes got nominations for two superb performances in The Killing. Seeing names on there like Louis C.K., Alfre Woodard, Loretta Devine, Kyle Chandler, and Connie Britton was basically the cherry on top.
I love waking up to good news.
Maybe it's because of their convuleted seasons but USA has been getting ignored ever since Monk was retired. There are a lot of quality shows on that network that deserve some Emmy love. Psych, In Plain Sight, Burn Notice, Royal Pains and White Collar to name a few. And I'm enjoying both of the new shows - Necessary Roughness and Suits - but I'm guessing they premiered too late to be considered. All of these shows have snappy writing, directing, and acting. I think Mary McCormack especially deserves a nomination. I recently read an article that made fun of Psych for having 10 acting submissions. Why? They have a great cast and great guest stars. The season five finale alone had some great work in it. Ally Sheedy - so good.
This Year's Most Ridiculous Emmy Submissions
And I'm happy for Betty White too. I normally don't like when people win for sentimental reasons, but I think I'd allow it for Betty. I hope she does get it, despite her win last year for SNL.
