i meant TORINO doesn't feel like two whole years ago :) of course T & D doesn't seem like 20+ years ago!
Oh yea, I k now! I was just sayin look how far back we were going, if you thought 2 years was long! I can go farther back than that even, but I'm not going to age my self!
hey, i was in love with dorothy hamill ... BEFORE the wedge haircut ...
LOL, you got me on that one! I do not remember her before that. I think the first big skater I remember is Brian Boitano.
Anyone watching the tail end of "Four Continents"?
oh, 4 continents was on, and i missed that to?? :=(
Yeah this thread has come back!!!!!!
I'm not sure when Worlds are, but I'm guess sometime this Month, but I do hope that Kimmie can get it together!!!!!!
Just read that the US women swept the Junior Worlds. For anyone who wants to see the programs, go to: www.icenetwork.com

Just a reminder that the World's are this week. I'm glad I went to the USFA website, as I thought they were next week.
Here's a link to the schedule:

I just watched the pairs. The German pair got a very high score. They made quite a lot of mistakes. I don't get it.
I saw that, too.
Inoue and Baldwin; he's just creepy. Move on already.
After learning the results of the ladies competition, I don't think I'll be watching tomorrow. It sure would have been nice had the girls that won for the US been allowed to compete in the senior division. I can't remember the last time we had such a poor showing.
It looks like the US had its worst performance in years across the board. Johhny Weir is the only chance for a medal. Evin Belbin and Agusto (sp?) fell and didn't get a medal. It's a shame the girls who should have gone for the US were too young. Next year they will be old enough, but only 2 girls will be allowed to compete due to the poor showing this year. I can't remember a time the US didn't have 3 men and 3 women compete.

Sesot - I think when Nancy Kerrigan stopped competing, the next year only 2 females went to the World's. If my fading memory is correct, she left competition after the Olympics and decided not to go to that year's World Championships (which were maybe a month or two away), thereby basically ensuring that because she was not competing, only 2 spots would be granted to the US for the following year.

Can Someone Help Me Out w/ the Names of a Pair. They were skating on the 3/21. Their outfits looked like a "modern" version of a mummy, and at one point the guy held on to the sleeve of the girl for a few tricks.
If anyone can do one better and name the song they were skating to that would be amazing. It was a techno/trance track that was piano/keyboard based.
TIA
Those were the Kerrs from the UK. They are ice dancers not pair skaters. I don't have the name of their song though.

Ooops you are right. I can't believe I screwed that up. I had the Kerrs on the brain.
The men's short program is on right now. Seems this year marks the return of the men's unitard. Guys are even wearing it when it doesn't match their music (Daisuke Takahashi's hip-hop routine?).
Sorry to double post, but is no one else watching the ladies Worlds free skate?
I watched it and now am getting ready to watch the evening coverage.
Mao Asada was stunning. Too bad she fell on the triple axel. I think the Japanese women are a force to be reckoned with. I still can't figure out how their other skater placed 4th though. Men's free skate on tomorrow. U.S. women only get two skater's for 2009 World's. The ISO age ruling really screwed us.
So what's on at 6:30 ABC?
