I rewatched the pilot last week, and I like it. I think I'll continue to watch it, if there is nothing better competing with it, which I don't think there is. I'm not sure if I really am fond of Lea Michele's character though. She reminds me too much of someone I knew in high school, and it's not a good thing now.

I'm excited about this show. Loved the first episode. It reminds me of ELECTION. Are any of the same people involved? Lea Michele even walks down the hall like Tracy Flick!

^^ My thoughts exactly. As soon as I saw Lea walk down the hall, I thought of Election.

In the NY Magazine article BWW posted a link to this morning, Lea mentions how she watched Election as part of her character development.

She, along with most of the kid characters, annoys the crap out of me so far, but I love the adult roles. I'm sure the kids will grow on me, but so far they are not developed enough.

I really wish the original poster could change the spelling error in the official thread title, ugh.

ETA - ok, it's been changed, that was just downright freaky!

Anywho, happy Glee day! Don't forget - tonight at 9!

The video card is faulty in my laptop so I haven't been able to see most of the promo clips and BWW TV spots, but last night I was on my roomie's computer and youtube crazed. Finally saw the Golddigger clip.....*sigh* that man can do no wrong, lol.

Fingers crossed that President Obama's speech does not preempt Glee. I know I'm shallow....

Fox is not broadcasting the speech, they're broadcasting SYTYCD and Glee.

Very whimsical article that Matt did BWW just posted....

You can just imagine what the last comment did to me re: GLEE!: The Official Love Thread. lol

Also, if you look in the comments, there is another good article someone posted a link to that he did with Parade magazine. It does have a spoiler about the end of the season in it, just as FYI

Oh and digging the facial scruff in the BWW TV Premiere video... yum.

(I apologize in advance, Adam Pascal hasnt been doing too much lately, so my obsessive nature has moved on to Matt, lol)

How bad is it that we are all skipping the President's speech for SYTYCD and Glee?

Although in all fairness to us, we'll see all the important parts on the news tomorrow.

I like to believe I stay somewhat up to date on current affairs, but I just cannot make it through any type of televised speech. Closest I came was this year's inagural address. Other than that, i just can't do it. I will read the full transcript the next day. Plus, I'm sure there will be 20 threads started about every other sentence. BWW is the only newsource I need! (joking, sorta).

Hell, if Obama says anything important it will be debated here in a much more interesting manner.

Well you all have very valid points, and now I don't feel bad missing Obama's speech at all. Not that I did before.

Two very important comments to me in my role as a mother this week. I have always wanted my only child, a boy 13, to love musical theatre so that he will take his mother when I am old. OK. I know. Kinda wierd, but it's really the only demand I make on his future except that he be happy and healthy. Anywho! After sharing earbuds with me to listen to the song Hair, he stated out loud that he would like to see the musical and 2) he's excited about Glee tonight. He loves their "Don't Stop!"

I believe I'm making headway. Go Gleek! No comments about overbearing mother please!

Not at all! You don't sound overbearing! You just want to share some interests with your son! Now if you cut him off from all other forms of entertainment we might have to talk.

broadwaytourist, growing up, my mom would constantly play West Side Story, My Fair Lady, The Kind and I and The Sound of Music for our movie nights (as they are her fav musicals), hoping to rub off on my sister and I. They didn't stick with my sis, but I grew up loving them!

I'm only watching So You Think You Can Dance in anticipation for Glee. Plus, I just got done eating dinner, so I pretty much missed most of Obama's speech anyway.

I can't get Don't Stop Believing out of of my head, and it has been stuck there all day.

I love this show.

It's borderline terribly written and cheesetastic but I love it.

The fangirls who think it's the best show ever created (per usual) are annoying as hell though.
